“Romain experiance”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

It's nice to get in and see the past . _It's well preserved and nicely maintained. I could only imagine the crowd and joy during the manifestation in summer time.

“A must see”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

It's a working Amphitheatre still used for events, bull fights and spectaculars. The restoration is wonderful.

“WOW”

If you love historic roman ruins -- don't miss the Arena in the historic district in Arles.. while quite dusty -- it is a ruin of course, but the size and scope of this place is mind boggling!

“Fascinating Venue”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

It was built by Julius Caesar and is still used for bull fights. It was used for gladiator contests in that day and is well worth a visit as it is more complete than the colliseum in Rome. The whole city is worth a visit because of the association of Vincent van Gogh and the sites he painted there as well as the hospital where he was treated for mental illness.

Interesting and well preserved in central Arles. Very nice views from the top area and worth going up the steps.
