Exactly the sort of hotel one hopes for and despairs of ever finding anymore. A place that feels unique--something apart from the global sameness, the brandedness generally encountered, even in the small ways that other hotels capitulate to in the name of some travelers' expectation. To enter the Nord-Pinu is to enter a rare loveliness and graciousness. An unhurried comfort and amber-hued beauty that one simply never wants to leave. I stayed in chambre 30. Lucky you if you can get it. Magnificent views over the rooftops of Arles--the obelisk in the not far distance. A patio almost as big as the bedroom--the October chill too cold to use it. The bathroom equally large with equally commanding views. The women who work there are are extraordinary--they go out of their way to help--from restaurant reservations to breakfast in bed to rescuing the inept driver stranded and frustrated at the top of the amphitheater. Do reserve parking ahead.

The staff are wonderful, personal, and very helpful. The location is great for visiting Arles in foot. Car parking is taken car of by the staff. The hotel has a lovely historic feel, but there are challenges if you need modern amenities. When we were there, internet reception was very sporadic, even at the reception area. We had two rooms, one had an updated bathroom, the other not. Rooms are small. Breakfast was served with warmth and enthusiasm, but was very overpriced for French continental fare.
Although smoking is not allowed, there was a well used ashtray in the hallway and smoke smell every morning.
In summary, this is a convenient place to stay in Arles and the staff really go out of their way to make you welcome. Just be prepared for glitches.

Room tip: Ask for a high floor not facing the street as the noise in the square is significant.

In the centre of medieval and Roman Arles lies this elderly hotel with parts of the Roman Forum within its structure. All the tourist sites and dozens of cafes and restaurants are within 10 minutes walk. The flip side is its a nightmare to get to in a car and parking is very limited and needs booking in advance.
Breakfast is expensive and needs booking the day before. The hotel restaurant is underused in the evening. Staff are very helpful in every way.

This gem is located on a central Arles square, kitty corner to the yellow cafe made famous by Vincent Van Gogh! Tired from travel, we were greeted a by an elegant and beautiful, grey haired woman who spoke such lovely English it made you forget to feel bad about not be able to speak French. Our room was cool and calm and had a marvelous king bed. Wonderful breakfast served on their front patio weather permitting.

We stayed only for one night, but the pleasure of enjoying such a beautiful and stylish place was great!
We had been offered a family suite with a lot of space, great furnitures and amazing rest room.
The Hotel is in the main (and a bit touristic) square of beautiful Arles, so fantastically located, bar is amazing at night.

Breakfast is a bit overpriced, but all is worth the visit.

Owner has also a Hotel in Tanager, Morocco, we will definitely try that too.

Delicious, even though a bit over priced, the temporary ParisPopup restaurant that was hosted by the Hotel in the summer period.
