“Cute hotel, great location”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

This hotel is perfectly situated for a trip to Arles and its fantastic location meant it was hard not to feel absorbed in the authenticity of this rustic little town. With an abundance of restaurants, cafes and things to do nearby, we were easily entertained for our 5 day stay. Staff gave some great restaurant recommendations and were generally very obliging. Would definitely recommend this hotel as its super value as well.

Room Tip: Would definitely recommend the square side rooms.

Although Arles was quiet in October, we enjoyed our three-night stay in this hotel. Many restaurants were closed and there were very few tourists. We travelled by car and there was free parking outside the old city walls - a 5-minute walk away.

We had a fair-sized room with a balcony on the top floor overlooking the piazza and the breakfast was excellent. We found all the staff to be very friendly and would recommend this hotel.

It was very good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the square.

Was in Arles with my partner to view the annual photo festival.
Had a great stay at this hotel, although a little pricey.

But Great location. Within 10-15mins walking distance from Arles main train station.
Near some supermarkets, bakeries and cafes. Room & toilet were clean and not too small.
Do take note that there are no elevators, which is very common for Arles hotels.

Staff speaks English. Must comment on the helpfulness of hotel staff, Vincent and the hotel owner. My partner & I were due to catch an over night train to Germany, and the hotel owner gave us some towels to freshen up in the lobby toilet during the evening, although we had already checked out at noon. My partner & I were very thankful for his kindness.

* While u are staying here, do try to eat next door at L'Ingenu. (especially the Tapas set! )

Room Tip: No elevators, so u might want to go too high up...

Rooms are clean and comfortable. No elevator so you need to carry all your baggage by the stairs. Staff is OK.

The hotel is simple and right in the city center. Room is clean and comfortable.

They don't have lift and the stairs are very high.

If you're driving, really not recommend this hotel becos they don't have private parking. Public parking is just near the hotel but it's definitely unsafe. Our car was broken and some of the stuffs including GPS were stolen.

Arles is not a safe city.

We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel in April.
The location is excellent if you want to be in the heart of the old city within walking distance to the arena and river. We had our own car and managed to find street parking each night. Be careful (the night before market day) not to park on the street where the weekly market is held.

The room was spacious for the price and the balcony was lovely overlooking the square which had a number of bars and restaurants. We weren't worried by any noise but then we were pretty tired at night.

Our bathroom was fine although the shower was treacherous - tiny, slippery and with nowhere to put soap etc.

Our air con and safe did not work and we reported to reception each day but in five days no-one bothered to assist. There is a claim English is spoken (and even a little Union Jack outside) but the ladies at reception said.."no English". In desperation I wrote a note for the manager on the second night but to no avail. The room was over warm even in April so we left the door open at night for some air! If you expect any kind of service in a hotel then I would not recomend this hotel unless you can get a room at a very good price!

We loved Arles and it is a wonderful spot from which to tour the surrounding area including the Camargue and mountain top villages. We even watched a feria in the arena.

Room Tip: Check if safe and air con work

Great affordable, small hotel only 5 minutes walk from the train station (easily managed with a heavy backpack). Situated on a plane tree filled square in the old town. Easy to walk around the best parts of Arles from the hotel. Staff is friendly and offer a breakfast in the morning at an additional price. Room was clean, simply decorated, modern tiled floors and bathroom and a big window. Other rooms have balconies looking over the square but mine was at the back so no view but nice dark curtains to sleep off the jet lag. Free wifi in the room and air-con should you want it but my room stayed cool and fresh with just the window open while the temperature was 27C outside. As noted by other reviewers there is no elevator and narrow stairs to the upper floors but it wasn't a problem for me and the price is so good you can't complain!!
