The most comfortable bed ever. Eric, the owner, is a professional chef and makes a pretty damn good breakfast (in addition to being a fabulous host). We were fighting off a cold by the time we arrived in Arles, and Eric brought us wonderful honey tea every evening (we stayed 2 nights). That honey tea literally cured my cold.

The newly remodeled bath is spacious, beautiful with the nicest toilet paper ever (seriously, they smelled like roses)! But back to the bed. The bed was the most comfortable bed I slept in during our 2wk cycling tour of Provence. The bed linen was so nice I asked Eric where I could find a set for myself (alas, he doesn't know either). The room isn't spacious or small, just perfect really. I felt like we were staying in a warm little cocoon!

The location is perfect, within the walls of the city yet in a quiet and authentic residential neighborhood, and literally right around the corner from Arles' incredible Saturday farmer's market. Internet, long distance phone calls and AWESOME breakfast included!

With Aubergine Rouge, from start to finish, everything was fantastique. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The homemade breakfasts were great as well, but mostly, Eric, the propietaire, made our stay in Arles very special. He went out of his way to help us explore the city. He really is a very extraordinary person, and our stay couldn't have been better. We have been to so many place around the world, and we have never felt as "at home" and as well looked after as we did at Aubergine Rouge.

Stayng at L'Aubergine Rouge made our trip to Arles really special. The house was simply beatiful and cosy, situated in the very heart of the city. Eric, the host, was the kindest guy you could met. His homemade breakfasts served on the beautiful terrace were something we are going to remember for a while. We were really quite sad to leave the place after three days and every other hotel or bb we stayed in France after l'Aubergine Rouge was defenitely not comparable. Eric also gaves us really useful suggestions for our trip in France, letting us discover the best beaches or places known only to local people. Great place and great guy!

If you are looking for a cozy little place to stay in the centre of Arles, l'Auberge Rouge is "the" place you are looking for! The room has personality and house has a nice little terrasse on the roof, where you can enjoy your breakfast (delicious, even marmelades are home made!). Eric, the owner, is extremely warm, easygoing and welcoming person with whom you'll be friends from the first second you meet him.

If you wish to experience a genuine French stay right in the heart of medieval Arles, adjacent to the Rhone river, then choose the Aubergine Rouge. You will get a comfortable bed and a friendly and helpful reception from owner, Eric.
