“THE market”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

Apt is the ideal location for a trip in Provence because its close enough to everything. The city itself though, doesn't have much to offer; food after 9 pm is almost impossible for example. The best thing about this place it's the market! Every Saturday the city get completely close and the big market is everywhere! You will find everything from food to clothes, but the real stars of the market are of course the cheese, saucisson, lavender products and provence spices. The fruits and veg lookes awesome and colourful, you will find the biggest cherry and garlic ever! If you are a market lover, or a cheese lover, look for this one!

“The best market in the valley”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

The Apt market is wonderful but you need to get there early (around 9:00) to avoid the crowds. The market is very extensive takes over all of the town. You will find distinct areas for food, clothing and housewares but generally the quality is great and the prices very comparable to most others and less than some. Get there early, do your shopping and then sit back and enjoy a coffee from one of the many cafes and watch others struggle to get through the crowds.
Winter shopping at the market is much easier and this is one of the few that run all year round.

“One of the greatest markets I've seen”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

This marche offers everything you expect and everything that the Provence has to offer. The market uses the whole city centre. Take your time and stroll along the in every corner.
Any downside? Yes, prices are really high, but remember, you are in the heart of the Provence.

“vast jungle of stalls”

The market was much bigger than I expected, bought some supplies for a picnic -delicious cherries. Huge range of goods; food, leather, fabrics, you name it and you can find it. Lovely atmosphere.
