“Good hotel and very nice gourmet restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

Very good location in the city centre. No problems with car parking.
Hotel is small but very-very nice. Extremely clean rooms.
But the most wonderful thing is the restaurant in the hotel. Dinner is great!!! Chef is a genius!!!!
Even breakfast was also wonderful!
Highly recomended!

The hotel's location couldn't be better. It is literally across the street to the main square with most of the good restaurants and other services right there. The hotel is well secured, requiring a password to enter at all times of the day or night. Maid service was excellent and the truth is, "you just gotta love pressed sheets!

Room Tip: We were in first room at the top of the stairs on the second floor. It was fine, but on some nights...

The Auberge le Luberon is in the city centre, just over the bridge. This is a great advantage when visiting the wonderful provencal market on saturdays. The auberge offers only a few rooms on two floors, They are all decorated in different styles. The size of the rooms is ok, not too big. They do not have their own parking area, but around the house is plenty of public parking spaces. We had two rooms, one goind to the backside of the hotel and one to the front. Both were clean and very nicely decorated in provencal style.

We didn't eat there in the evening, but we had breakfast. It was really great, more than expected and the quality and presentation was just great. Not the standard you get in many hotel chains, but juice, cheese, nut bread, cakes, croissants, all brought to your table.

So what differs this auberge from other hotels. The price you pay for the room and breakfast is the same as for a standard cheap french hotel chain. What you get is style, quality, a warm and welcoming atmosphere and personal hospitality.

Great hotel with all the charm of Provence.Used as a stop off on our Calais to Cannes cycle ride it had ample free parking next door which is always a bonus.Friendly staff with a great recommendation for a local restuarant in easy walking distance. To top the stay a superb breakfast on the patio.

We were attending a birthday bash of a friend who lived nearby and chose this hotel from a list he provided. It turned out we were delighted with the choice. The owner was friendly and helpful and the room was quite comfortable. We were especially impressed with the decor which gave the place a very homey feel. We would have like the place to be a little cleaner, especially dust. The breakfast on the lovely veranda was the highlight. Good value and handy location to the interesting town of Apt.

Room Tip: Any room should be good. Ours was very quiet even though it faced the street.

The Auberge is a small hotel in Apt, that can be used as a base to explore the Luberon región and its many beautiful towns. The hotel is quite good for the price, expect small rooms with some inconveniences but there are some outstanding things, as very nice breakfasts and the real good food that Stephan prepares for the restaurant, that is also small but quite nice.
A good option for the price. There were some drawbacks as our room did not have at least a ceiling fan and it was quite warme. It seems some rooms have, as a couple travelling together with us had one in theirs. There is a lot of free plublic parking place (funny, the sign reads “submersible parking”, as it is close to a canal that I suppose can overflow in very heavy rains) very close.
Staff (the two owners) were very helpful and Stephan, which is also the chef, is a very nice person.

Great little hotel overlooking the river and Apt town center which is convenient on Market Days with easy access via the pedestrian bridge right in front of the hotel. Also close to several restaurants. Free public parking close by and the bus stops the other side of the river by the pedestrian bridge. No elevator but the stairs are manageable. Great location for exploring the Luberon.
