“playing with Victor”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

What an amazing place. We had a fantastic afternoon in this cathedral to art. The scale of the works is awe-inspiring, each 'room' more extravagant than the last. It really is a total experience.

“Exciting art”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

The building is very striking, and a precise echo of its contents. The grand works inside deserve to be absorbed with a good long sit on the sofas. There are opportunities for children to copy and be stimulated by the pictures. The Fondation has had some financial difficulties, but we believe that these have now been resolved.

“Underated Artist”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

Vasarely is an underated artist with very original ideas. His work consists of huge and very striking wall mosaics. The museum struggles to maintain the place. A good place to spend an hour or so if the weather is poor - which it rarely is in the summer. A museum that will also interest children

“A must see!”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

I have seen Vasarely before, but just in "ordinary size". It's so much more impressive when you see his works in giant versions. The whole building is built especially to show off these works. The rooms are hexagonal, and there is one giant work on each of the six walls. They have nice sofas that you can sit down in and really enjoy the view. When you look closely the place is a bit run down, which is a shame - but it's a place not to be missed.

“They're hugh!”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

I remember when Vasarely was popular but I never imagined that his works were so big. They are colorful & interesting and now remind me of digital art before there was digital art. The bus from Aix is 1 euro & only 2.8 km if you want to walk. The museum building is also a work of art.
