“A gem in the Bouches du Rhône”

Thierry, Isabelle and Thais moved from Paris 5 years ago and have really landed with Lei Meissoun. It's an ongoing project Thierry tells me, but they've already put in the work and really transformed their home into somewhere you just don't want to leave.
We had a very hospitable welcome and stay from the moment we arrived until we left.
Lei Meissoun is really a place where you can wile away time doing absolutely nothing (not possible with 4 kids although worth a try) or if you're up for it get out early morning in the hot summer(difficult due to local wine prices) and run along the Durance or borrow a bike and pedal some of the GR trails over the Luberon (restricted to certain times if fire risk is high).
For the kids there's the pool and lots of garden and trees to play cache-cache(hide & seek).
For provisions you're 3km from Mallemort for the boulangerie/supermarché run.
I thought perhaps I should give a really awful review so that it puts people off and I can keep the secret of Lei Meissoun to myself but that wouldn't be fair......

“Lovely stay, hated to leave.”
Reviewed June 19, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This is an excellent location for enjoying Provence. We were hoping to enjoy the lavender fields and weren't disappointed, thanks to Thierry's suggestions. We also enjoyed the general countryside and the fresh fruits and berries grown in this area. The accommodation has a spacious room downstairs for meals and gathering and small but well equipped kitchen.

“Sheer delight!”
Reviewed May 16, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

A lovely cottage in the middle of beautiful Provence countryside. Thierry, Isabelle and Thais were very welcoming and helpful. Gee and Jackson (the dogs) also very pleased to see us. Easy trip to Aix and the Luberon. Go and see the hill towns of Gordes and Roussillon. We also recommend L'Auberge du Castellas Restaurant nearby, also recommended by Thierry. The only complaint we have is that we were not staying long enough!

“Great Stay - Friendly Hosts”
Reviewed August 4, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Stayed 2 weeks in July 2015 in the larger of the 2 units. Everything was great. Pool area had just been expanded and is much nicer than the photos show. Hosts very friendly, helpful, and respectful of our privacy. Their dog "G" was a hoot to play with and our kids liked spending time with their daughter as well. Unit has everything you need and hosts offered a ton of dvd's for our use. Location is great. Perfect balance of countryside and town. Good access to all area attractions. Would definitely stay again.

“Quaint Country Retreat”
Reviewed June 28, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We were two couples from New Zealand that stayed at this country cottage. It was in a great location for visiting the Provence area, approx. 2k from Mallemort village. The cottage was very comfortable & quiet with a excellent swimming pool area. Isabelle & Thierry were very friendly and helpful (they gave us a scenic route to travel to the property before our trip). Gee (owners dog) was very friendly and always happy to see us. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed June 14, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Our stay at Lei Meissoun couldn't have been better. The hosts, Isobel and Thierry, were kind and helpful, the apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the location is near both Aix and Avignon and the small villages of the Luberon, which I recommend exploring.
