Description: The new, elegant dining room opens out on to a shady, flagstone terrace, opened to guests on sunny days. The terrace leads directly to the hotel park, shaded by hundreds-year old chestnut trees. Chef Thierry Balligand invites you to discover his bistro-chic cuisine highlighting the best of seasonal produces, influenced by Meditarranean flavors, combining generosity, sharing and simplicity. The Chef's Word: "I like to cook following the seasons with a deep respect of the products, favoring local producers. A quality cuisine serving conviviality!"

Being advised to visit the (5* hotel) restaurant our expectations were high.
These were far from met. The starters were served before we finished our aperitives. The asparagus was not stripped well and not cooked properly. Left half of it. The langoustines were ok, but only tiny three of them worked out to be a poor dish.
We selected a glass of one of the open wines, but being run out, were served an alternative.
Again the speed of serving the dishes surprised us again: the main course was served almost immediately and before we even had finished our glass of white wine. For the main course (lamb chops) we selected a Mercurey. But still having our ‘starter’ wines a complaint to the waiter resulted merely ‘skip the red wine, and have the white with the meat’.
As compensation we got a small glass of Champaign as desert (which we had to order in front with the other courses). This was weird since we selected an Armagnac for the desert.
The lamb chops (only three again) had more fat than meat and, as the side dish vegetables, were poorly cooked.
The prices were at 5*-level, the food didn’t meet the suggested quality by far.
Overall we left with a rather ‘unwelcome’ feeling, the worst experience since long.

The room is beautifully appointed and the staff are friendly and attentive.

The food is imaginative and tasty and the bread in particular is delicious!

I had king prawn risotto and a chocolate tart. In between courses we also received little amuse bouches - which were lovely and unexpected.

They also have local regional wines.

All up a luxurious experience which felt special.

4 of us dined on a Sunday afternoon. We sat outside on the patio and had a very tasty brunch/lunch. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. We did not stay at the hotel but it looked wonderful as well.

What a treat to eat outside in such a beautiful garden- wish we had stayed here instead of the Chateau La Pioline! Te service was perfect, and the food remarkable. The filet was perfectly cooked, seared on the outside and pink to red on the outside, tender to perfection. The risotto was also perfect. I was also impressed with their wine list and we tried one recommended by the sommelier- a local Shiraz that was not overbearing and very differently delicious. And the place is quite central compared to our place- next time we'll try to stay at the hotel.

Nice lunch with good menu options. Gluten free friendly. The garden is amazing and so nice views. The service was ok but a bit let down and amateur. A shame.
