The apartment is very close to Cours Mirabeau, on a charming street full of restaurants and shops. The beds are comfortable, the living areas and bedrooms have good naturally light, and we enjoyed our stay. We did encounter difficulties with opening the building front door; you must "play" with the key, and it would take us several minutes to be able to enter the building. The stairs are steep, narrow and winding, which makes carrying luggage up 2 flights somewhat difficult. We had a lot of luggage, as the 4 of us are on a 4-month trip, and our arrival was difficult because of the stairs. We also had a problem with the water heater: 2 of us take morning showers and the other 2 shower at night. We had absolutely no hot water on the second and third nights at the apartment. The water heater is set to run at night, so there is hot water in the morning, but not at night. We contacted the manager, and were informed you have to turn a switch in the circuit breaker box to the sun icon and then wait. It would have been good to know this in advance. My final suggestion is that better towels would be appreciated. Towels are not expensive and make a big difference. I have rented more than 50 apartments in the last 4 years, so I am in a position to make comparisons. This apartment is definitely one that I would recommend, and would rent again myself.
