A quiet and modestly understated modern restaurant in an ambient style is what greeted us this evening. A pleasant quietly spoken young gent competent in at least 4 languages (French, Italian, English and German, to my knowledge) served us. The menu choices are limited, but how freshly prepared and tasty they are. The season for fleurs de courgette is upon us, so these were a mandatory starter. There was perfect attention to the need for gluten free with careful omission to each course without there being any fuss or great loss of content. Canette & Morels were cooked to perfection, with St. Pierre for my wife being succulent and flavoursome. We both had a delicious red fruit Vacherin with yoghurt ice-cream. As we did not wish to ruin our desserts, we did not finish the fine bottle of Morgon, which was then surreptitiously bagged and corked for our departure.
Unusually spruced toilet facilities (for France) were cleverly hidden behind a panel whose only external feature was a dessert spoon for a handle. Very chic. Undeniably worthy of every accolade. It is not cheap but worthy of the 75€ per head we paid on this special occasion. Many thanks
