Fantastic in it's own right but we were treated to a special exhibition. Getting tickets is a little complicated

Love the museum, especially the Cezzane collection. It did seem odd buying your tickets some 300 metres down the road, to have to walk back to the museum. I also paid for the head sets, but very few pieces could use them sorry mostly they remained unused. I also think we paid around11euro for the ticket and another5 euro for the head sets we barely used. I think the admission price is high considering its about the same as the Louvre.

This is an excellent gallery with first class exhibitions each year. The problems of booking for events is past years have gone with on line ticketing and there is flexibility in visiting times if you arrive early (assuming that it isn't too busy!). The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere very relaxed.

We saw a very good temporary exhibition of Cezanne to Matisse. It complemented well all the other sights you can see in Aix concerning Cezanne.

The Cezanne, Van Gogh, Matisse, Bonnard and others Art Exhibit is just amazing!
You can rent a guided tour in English. No cameras are allowed in. In fact you must leave your backpacks, bags at the entrance. The fee is about $10 per person. A must see!!
Only went for that show..did not have time to explore the rest of the museum, unfortunately.
Do not miss the map of the area showing where all the artists of that period resided for a time.
