“Brilliant Picassos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

The museum has just opened at a second location with a spectacular collection of modern art including some superb Picassos, two wonderful Monets, a cubist Braque c 1912, and a bunch of other stuff. This is a must see!

“Yet another gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

Another small but interesting museum in the former Palace of Malta featuring works of art from 14th-20th century by Rembrandt and Cezanne. The cost of 4 Euro is cheap as it also allows you to visit the Chapelle Penitent just around the corner which has an absolute stunning collection of paintings and drawings by Picasso. This collection alone displayed in old Norman church is one not to miss .Not many tourists and art you would kill for. Do not miss this museum

“Not worth a visit”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

This place has very bad signage, not much to see, 2 little Cezannes, bored looking room attendants. It has clean toilets, and apparently a cezanne to Matisse exhibition on now,so might be worth looking at that

“the best part of the museum in Granet himself”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013

The best part about the Granet Museum are the paintings by Granet himself. I did not know much about him but was impressed by the magnitude of his paintings as well as the subjects. I enjoyed his painting about Provence even though he had many about Italy as well. the setting is pretty. I did not enjoy the other paintings as well. it is worth a visit.

“Many of the 20th century paintings are not in the main building...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

I was initially disappointed with the collection...some of the paintings I'd hoped to see weren't there. Much of the 20th century stuff was in a separate exhibition at the Chapel Pins (?) Just 5 min walk away. I didn't notice this publicised anywhere. The Musee Granet ticket allows you into the Chapel exhibition, which was really good.
