We stayed for one night on our way from Spain to Italy. The hotel is located close to the motorway, which makes it convenient if you're only staying for one night, and it offers a parking. The parking is just in front of the door, however the personnel at the reception advised to take everything out of the car as the decline any responsability in case of theft :-s We were a bit worried as we were fully loaded and couldn't possibly take everything out, however it seems theft very rarely happen, and we didn't have any problem.
The first room they put us in smelled really weird, so we asked for a change, which was no problem at all, and the staff at the reception stayed friendly. The room and bathroom are the ones typical for the Ibis hotels, as is the breakfast, which was fine.
The internet connection was reasonable in terms of speed, so no complaint about that. We got a special internet rate and the room costed approx 65€, but that didn't include the 9€ breakfast/person, so it's not a cheap Ibis...

My wife and I enjoyed this hotel because of the amazing staff. At the front desk you will never find anyone nicer or more helpful than Bea Vidal. In the restaurant at dinner we were served by Angelique and she could not have been better. THANKS to these 2 fantastic people.

I arrived late at night and without an on-board navi it wasn't easy to find. Coming from the highway you'll see lot of signs for the IBIS (and other hotels) in the beginning but take a wrong turn and you can get easily lost in Aix at night. Eventually arrived the greeting was extremly welcoming, which is not necessarily the case in France if your french is lacking, and rooms are clean and have the standard IBIS size. Breakfast is good (and probably better than in some of the other IBIS hotels around the world. At the end of the day you are in France, so the croissants are obviously in a different league ...). As I stayed there for only one night I cannot really comment about the surroundings, which seem to be not in walking distance to anywhere but for a 'nights' sleep' it is close to the highway and if you have some hours to spend the only IBIS hotel I ever stayed in with a swimming pool.

Great location, clean, quiet, safe, parking, friendly people, etc. Your room is spartan but that's all you need. The staff if great, the reception and eating areas clean and inviting. The breakfast and dinners were very good. We stayed 3 nights and would stay there again. Hope that Berangere V is on duty because she is super great.

We had a car and based ourselves in Aix En Provence so that we could also visit nearby towns such as St Tropez, Cassis and Arles. We were also close to Marseille and the Camargue region. We had the 3 night "long weekend" deal which was great value for money compared to other hotels in the town centre. The hotel has a bus stop right outside the grounds. The journey into the centre of town took less than 15 minutes and the single trip fare was €1, far cheaper than a long-term carpark.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Most spoke English and at least one other foreign language. The restaurant had a good choice of regional dishes, vegetables and fruit. Both dinner and breakfast meals were also well priced.
One tip if you are using a Garmin GPS - enter the address as AVENUEdes Infirmeries rather than CHEMIN des Infirmeries.
