“Best pasteries cookies and cakes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

On a Saturday morning after visiting Aix open markets, we sat and had a coffee with two cakes. The entire selection looks like it's taken form a fairy tale, or a french cooking book.

“Stopped for coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

We saw this shop where they make amazing chocolates and pastries and walked in to take a look. It wasn't long before we ended up deciding to take a table order coffee and munch into some wonderful biscuits and cookies. The waitress ( owner) spoke a little English and we spoke a little French. She was absolutely gracious with our poor French and made us immediately feel welcome - she exuded a warm personable attitude and although the place was filled with locals she did not make us feel like tourists. We sat near the front window and people watched the boulevard. This place is worth a visit and not far from the round-about of Place du General De Gaulle on Cours Mirabeau near the end of the street where the road jogs to the left.

“Delicious cakes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

I lived in Aix en Provence several years and Riederer's chocolate cakes are one of the best I ever ate.I really advice you to go over there and have the chocolate cake with the biscuit on the bottom.

“Absolutely divine!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

The food here is so good and more-ish that you keep coming back; further to this, you have an amazing range of coffees and chocolates to choose from to drink so there is something for everyone. Also, the little patisseries are so delicious that you can't help to try them all and the café gourmand on the menu is ideal for that.

“Best cafe in Aix - visited every morning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

Beautiful little cafe-patissier with stunningly detailed cakes and chocolates. Superior coffee menu with around 20 different beans to choose from. Lovely staff who take lots of care over eveything they do. Great orange juice too!
