My husband and I stayed at this 4 bedroom hotel for three delightfuls days, we did enjoy everything from the arrival to the departure. Shall I say that we travelled a lot in Southeast Asia and India were in every hotel the service is excellent. We were so pleasantly surprised by the service in this hotel. The staff is discreetly there to satisfy all your needs and even to anticpate them: everything is possible from finding a car park to booking restaurants or advices on places to visit... there is a free wi-fi, free Nespresso and free fruits! Laura, the owner architect redesigned the mansion to house 3 bedrooms, one suite, two salons and a kitchen. In the basement, there is a very quiet room and a jaccuzzi. The place is just absolutely gorgeous, very modern and extremely quiet at night. It reminded me of the poem "l'invitation au voyage"of Baudelaire,
Là, tout n'est qu'ordre et beauté,
Luxe, calme et volupté.

I have never felt moved to write a hotel review before visiting La Maison d'Aix however this hotel and operation deserves significant praise.
La Maison d"Aix is a renovated mansion is in the historic residential district of Aix En Provence and is a very short walk to shopping and dining. The property offers a quiet location with terrific accessibility to the surrounding area as well as to the greater Provence region.
The architect/owner has exquisite taste and possesses the sensitivity to balance a uniquely modern aesthetic while respecting the historic charm of the property and area. Every aspect of our stay had been considered and their service was attentive yet non intrusive. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and well appointed. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and was prepared for us at the time that we requested. Wifi is complimentary and the available parking garage is a very short walk from the hotel. Area parking can be limited.
I found La Maison d'Aix to be much more than a bed and breakfast; better and more interesting than many quality hotels; comfortable like your home. The experience is one of artistic inspired luxury in an intimate setting with a desirable degree of service. I consider my wife and I to be demanding (yet relatively low key) travelers who appreciate the care of quality service presented in a beautiful and unique environment. This hotel and their staff delivered beyond our expectations. Check out their website, look at the photos, do your research.....you will not be disappointed.
My wife and I hope to go back someday and visit again with Laura, her husband Edouard and their wonderful La Maison d'Aix.

At first sight you wouldn't know the the 18th century facade shelters the most luxury hotel in Aix en Provence. No number , just a very discrete sign with the name La Maison d’Aix.
This is a truly exceptional hotel, in this or any other environment. The welcome is genuine (none of that parrot-like repetition of enthusiastic phrases that you get from much larger hotels), the house Manager just offered us coffee and juice as she was telling us the incredible story of this house. The rooms are stylish with a big, and very comfortable bed and modern, good sized bathroom. The area is quiet and we slept extremely well Tea and coffee are available throughout the day and night. We were delighted about the concept : if you want to enjoy either a coke or a fine bottle of wine, just open the fridge, take what you want and just note down your name and your drinks. Freedom ! Better than home !
The staff were very helpful and provided us with a lot of information about the city. Aix en Provence has small streets and it’s quite difficult to find a place. If you don’t book a parking, it can be annoying. Just remember to book a place.

A friend advises me to stay in The Maison d'Aix. I was with VIP Japaneses customers visiting Provence. This hotel with excellent welcome get a very modern french touch. It cannot be compared with any other. In this region it's really the top with a very nice decoration, a fabulous spa, a commun spacious dinnig room, extraordinary breakfast. My guest were very impressive to find this luxurious home in this old city of Aix en Provence. I recommend highly this address for all businessmen travelling in this region. If you are in honeymoon it should be inforgettable too.

From the moment we were met at the airport by the chauffeur ( arranged by the hotel) , to the moment we were bid "au revoir", we were treated wonderfully and made to feel as though we were staying at our own private house in LA. The hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location, right in the historical part of the city. The design is simply incredible : elegant, sumptuous, very quiet and private. Our room was lovely and incredibly spacious, in fact the weather was beautiful but we still spent time in our room as it was so lovely. We also stayed several hours in the Spa which is simply terrific ! Everyone seemed genuinely interested in our plans and did everything to ensure our needs were met. After a long journey to Paris, we were greeted in our room with fresh fruit, and bottle of water. It was a lovely way to begin our visit. The staff was always ready to assist with restaurant recommendations, reservations, museum tickets, etc. Without hesitation, we would return to La Maison d'Aix, and plan to do so as soon as I can. The architect should be proud of the special place she has created in one of the most heavenly places on earth, Provence. Thank you for making our stay so special.

I've stayed at La Maison d'Aix twice in six months and have found nothing else like it, not just in Aix but anywhere. It feels like home (in Aix, which is a very nice place to be home) yet has world-class design and comfort, a rich history, hosting by Edouard and Laura that goes beyond what one could possibly hope for, gourmet breakfast on demand, and an unbeatable location in Mazarin.

What's really unusual is the combination of modern with tradition, simplicity with a sense of richesse, and true warmth with high-end style - this goes for the overall sensibility as well as the details. If you'd like to experience Aix from the inside, in a way that's truly classy with understated finesse, this is the place.

My husband and I stayed for about a week at la Maison d'Aix - I was sorry to leave. The hotel is luxurious, modern, quiet and utterly comfortable. Our hosts, Laura and Edouard, were there whenever we wanted them but we had absolute privacy. The house was our own. Their hints for a restaurant in surrounding cities were brilliant - we have never eaten so well on such a consistent basis. This hotel is a delight - elegant, sensuous and located in a perfect part of the city - central to everything. I'd love to come back, it would be worth the flight.
