The service is outstanding. The food is both inventive and delicious. But I'd argue that, for the price, each of the tasting menus contained one (non-dessert) dish too few. If it's going to be exorbitant, you better not leave hungry. Oh, and the server left us waiting to pay the bill for over 45 minutes at the end, which somewhat marred the experience. I honestly believe he was playing games with us. It was pretty slow (on a Friday night!); I think he was attempting to cure his boredom by getting a rise out of us. Didn't work.

I am sure you will be surprised. We chose the tasting house menu. Besides the appetizers, the start was rather peculiar and at first we thought we would regret the choice, but after that we came close to heaven each course that arrived was better than the previous one. The sommelier wine indications were also outstanding. At each new course the chief's wife came to explain what was being served. Well, certainly one best meals we have ever had. We crave to come back.

The modern and sophisticated atmosphere contrasted with much of the environment and competition. The 9 course basic (not the 12/13 course full) degustation meal was superb. The service was attentive, plentiful and helpful and not pretentious at all. They adjusted for Gluten free appropriately and diligently without fuss. The wine list was substantial French focused and tended to over €100+.
The courses were not too large but so many made us full.
The pâté starter was creamy smooth and full of flavour. The first full course of sardines was surprising in the dark sweet potato shell and capsicum sauce and eggplant balanced it well. Fish and mayonnaise was good but the accompanying potato in a shell that we were told was clay shell. The quail burger was small tasty and worked. The deep fried foie gras was a taste explosion in the mouth. Each plate was a different shape. The desserts were terrific (see photos) tasty well co-ordinated and a bit overwhelming in the end. The burgundy wine that the sommelier recommended worked well with the many and varied courses. Great place to visit and although expensive worth it.

This place is just amazing. The food is so creative, so artistic, and so delicious! Also, it is SO expensive, at least for our usual budget anyway. We went to celebrate my 30th birthday, and I couldn't think of a better place for such an occasion. If you are after something specific, forget it. This place has three menus. The express, amateurs and professionals (I think it's different for lunch, but check the website), so they've got all the dishes figured out, you just need to think about how much time, money and stomach space you have to spare. The express is around €50 per person for 3 courses, the amateurs is €86 for seven courses, and the professionals is €140ish for TEN COURSES! We, along with everyone else in the restaurant pretty much, went for the amateurs. It's officially seven courses, but they throw in a few little extras along the way, so you end up with about ten different dishes of various sizes - some tiny, some small, and nothing too big. We were absolutely full by the end. Note that drinks are not included in this price and there are no matched wines to the dishes as some restaurants do. The wine list, however, is biblical, mainly consisting of French wine. We went for a Provençal rosé for about €40. We also had a glass of champagne each to begin, which was €18 each - ouch. But hey, it was worth it. Total for two champagnes, the amateurs menu for both of us, and a bottle of rosé came to €252. Expensive? Yes. Amazing? Yes! They deserve their Michelin star, and I think you'll be pretty hard pressed to find something better in Aix-en-Provence.

Reboul, situated in the historical Aix en Provence is a modern restaurant in a typical Aix house. we ordered what they call the Dejeuner Express. Do not be fool by the name. this is a 4 course meal as inventive as it is delicious. it well deserves its one star. for this level of quality, the price of E42.00 per person is very good. if you want to add a generous cup of wine (and a good one) + a bottle of mineral water and 1 coffee, add E8.00 and for E50,00 everything included, you have an excellent meal. we were quite impressed. .
