“lovely food- particuarly good in the sun”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Ate here with friends yesterday whilst waiting to get on the train from Poitiers, Excellent lunch, wide choice of good quality well prepared food. Skate wing was superb and friends meals, Bavette and Confit of Lamb, looked and smelt fantastic. Clean plates all round. One of our group ordered a salad which looked good but there was a huge amount of lettuce in there bulking it out. Ate on the street outside on a beautiful sunny day, a great place to watch the world go by. Good choice of wines- all in all very good would recommend it and would eat here again when in Poitiers.

“Great ambiance!”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

We visited this great restaurant recently. After walking around for a bit this restaurant seemed to have a nicer ambiance than the rest so we went in and weren't disappointed! After a little while the restaurant was completely full! The table are lit, something we had never seen and which was very romantic. We just took the lunch menus and had a truly great lunch. I had the meat and my husband had the fish. Surprised this restaurant is not more highly placed on this site, to be honest but then it is the only one we visited in Poitiers so maybe they have loads of truly great restaurants! We sat upstairs which is actually nicer than downstairs, the tables and table clothes and so and there is a very big window!

“Style over content”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

I often wish interior designers of restaurants would leave their contact details at the bottom of menus so that I can have a little chat to discern mitigation like, whether they might be totally blind. If you know who designed this place, please pass this on to him or her.

No, it won't be a her. A woman would realise that if you insert uplighters into glass tabletops, the result could only be physiognomically catastrophic for the diners. And it was (shine a torch up from under your chin and you'll see what I mean. My (usually) very attractive partner - uplit - looked as though she had suddenly contracted a mediaeval plague. Only placing the menu over the light made her look normal again, but that made her unable to read the menu. So, not caring even hald a jot about my image, I read it to her (though I was slightly peeved when she described me as looking like a cross between Boris Karloff and an elderly bush baby). Why were we there? Ah, yes, the food. Well, not much to report. Formulaic. And when it isn't, it's plain odd. Weird pizza concoctions with even weirder names. My Parmentier was insipid. Her Veggie burger consisted of squishy plain wrong veggies in a bun. Deep fried snails were nearly the vilest driest little buggers I have eaten in France. Staff very quick and helpful. But so are MacDonalds'. Speed and friendliness doesn't help the flavour one jot. And God save us from some of the customers. Poitiers bohemia? Who needs it?

Just a little explanation:
Our facility has two moods: a subdued atmosphere upstairs with (indeed) tables lit from below. and atmosphere "normal" below. We give our customers the choice, you have a choice!
The name corresponds to pizza names, the compositions are written. Nothing strange there! Just one more originality .... pleasing (often .....)

“Lovely food, great atmosphere and service.”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Recently visited for the second time, was very pleased with the restaurant once again. I had a very generously sized salad which had plenty of 'the good bits' - not just a bowl of lettuce with one lonely bit of meat! Loads of egg, parmesan, chicken, croutons, sauce. Great. Boyfriend had the Carpaccio selection which came with a small steak, all beautifully prepared and cooked. Lovely herby potatoes as a side dish. Drinks reasonably priced. Foie gras starter was a little too 'processed' for our tastes but still very nice. Everything impeccably presented. Decor is lovely and feels upmarket, and despite this staff are still extremely friendly and helpful which is a rare thing in France! Will be returning soon with family.

“Impeccable”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

We went there with a group of French friends for dinner, The decor is bright and modern, plenty of space, and service was attentive and friendly.

The food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Would recommend to others and certainly will eat there again.
