On Ascension holiday everyone was out after church to have lunch and we wanted a salad in the outdoors and Le Lieu-Dit's menu seemed to be what we wanted.
Well it was more than we expected with salads that could only be described as fantastic.
I ordered the Rustique salad which came with sausage made with chunky bits inside real intestine skins and potato wedges, whilst my wife had the Le Mer which was loaded with smoked salmon, St Jaques (scallops) scotch haddock and fresh salmon and topped with a huge prawn (langoustine ?) and we washed it down with a half litre of house rosé with the most beautiful rich red colour.
We finished with cafe gourmands which had chocolate cake with chocolate sauce, creme brûlée and strawberry ice-cream served with coffee
All that for €41 total which included good service and a great atmosphere in it's outdoor setting which seats about 20 tables full of happy diners.
