“Beautiful Relaxing Resort”
Reviewed November 10, 2010

We stayed here for 3 nights in October after spending a few days diving in Panglao. It was a welcome retreat away from everything! It's a very isolated resort - for the 1st day there was 1 other couple and the next 2 days, we had the entire place to ourselves! If you're looking for a lively night scene where you can meet a lot of people, this is not the place for you. But if you want a quiet peaceful seaside retreat, this is the place to go!

The rooms are basic, clean and air conditioned, with free water and coffee. They provide bath towels, beach towels, and snorkeling equipment. The pool is beautiful - a clean infiniti pool overlooking the ocean. Because it is so isolated, the days are spent lounging at the pool, secluded beach (beach chairs provided), snorkeling or arranging a banca to explore nearby islands. They also helped us arrange a dive nearby. We ate all our meals at the resort - the food wasn't spectacular, but it was fine. You can also walk to the other nearby resorts to eat.

The beach front is nice - literally empty and quiet and a nice place for taking a nap or reading a book. We were particularly impressed by the quality of service - from the owners Jane & Cornelius to Mary-Ann & the rest of the staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. We were able to take a kayak and snorkel gear (including booties, which was super helpful during low tide) to paddle around and snorkel on our own. We really enjoyed the staying here bc it felt like we were really away from everything, relaxing in our own paradise.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. The hotel is in a remote area and it is small, but that is what is charming !
The great pool is overlooking the beautiful beach where you are the only tourist. Sunset is gorgeous.
What is specially amazing in the resort are the staff that really treats you like family, especially Jane and Mary-Jane when we were there. Our daughter Chloé had big sisters for few days !
Regarding the surroundings, we did enjoyed the organised trips to the differents areas, especially to the mangrove and cave. I advise everybody to go there with small boat, you are received by a nice guide wich is as well a true story teller of the site ! And before leaving, do snorkelling, the place is great and unknown. Basdio snorkelling is great as well.
One (small) point to improve is to complete the list of activities with hiking places in the surroundings areas. Grace, I am sure you can find it !
The only bad comment I can give is the grilled fish smell coming to your table from the kitchen, can be easily improved !
The food is not exceptionnal but is still good. Intenet is working fairly.
When you think of the rates of the room, you can think first that it is a little bit overpriced, but when you realise all the installation is for only 11 rooms, that is the price to pay to feel at home in this beautifull homey resort.
Thank you, we had a pleasant trip! And hello to the whole team if they read this comments.

I'll start with the only negative aspect of staying at Anda White Beach: the distance. If you were the more impatient kind, you'd probably prefer to head on over to Panglao. Still, the trip was quite worth it...

This is not a resort for people looking for wild beach parties; you're better off at Boracay for that. If you want quiet, relaxing solitude, this is the venue for you. The staff was very warm and accommodating, the vista is lovely, their pool was also good. The food is excellent, so be sure to try out all the different items on the menu during your stay.

Overall, I like this resort. The price was well worth it, too.

The booking process weeks before our arrival was nice and breezy--our e-mails were promptly and courteously answered by Ms. Grace and her staff.

We, a party of three, journeyed from Cebu City to Anda, Bohol via Tagbilaran. We opted to rent a private van for the trip from Tagbilaran to Anda, since we wanted to make a few pit stops (highly recommended: ice cream on a cassava cone at Bohol Bee Farm.)

It was already dark when we arrived at Anda White Beach Resort. The welcome drink plus the look of the Family Suite where we were booked energized us, somehow. Case in point: after dinner, we swam in the infinity pool and relaxed in the jacuzzi (they have two!).

Next day, we tried out the beach. The sand was fine and white. This is really the place for people who want to avoid large, beach-going crowds and just lie down while reading a book. Breakfast after our morning dip was hearty. [Pray they have mangoes in the pantry. The ones I had for two days straight were divine.]

All in all, if you're looking for a place that's the anti-thesis of, say, party-place Boracay, then pack your bags and go to Anda White Beach Resort. It's perfect for families with hard-working parents and with kids who want peace and quiet, for a change.

My husband is a Boholano (now based in the USA - see his review "jobdservant") so we are not first time visitors. So much for Panglao and Alona, this time we were looking for a private escape; a new place/resort which our friends have not gone to. The “remoteness” of the place was a plus factor.

From the time we made the booking until we left the place, we felt the special treatment. First, Grace and her staff answered all my emails/text messages, promptly. Our driver, Rey, was kind enough to let us stop at Albur and see an aunt. The trip to Anda was great, our first time to see how much the Eastern coastal towns have progressed. The room is simple, nice, clean (always clean!) and the pool is beautiful -- exactly how they look in the website. I agree with the other reviews that food is quite pricey, in fairness they tasted good --especially the lechon kawali! No choice, no restaurants/resorts nearby. Ruth (front desk) is just great -- it was like having a personal assistant, asking if there is anything we need before she goes home in the evening.

The resort is perfect for honeymooners or couples retreating a few days from city life. Grace and Cornelius, are perfect hosts – some casual conversations on a lazy evening; watched Grace play billiards with a guest from China; I had a wine shot courtesy of Grace.

We don’t recommend it to young people looking for action. A negative point is that since Anda is far, the Bohol sites-tour would be a little more expensive from here than taking the tour from Tagbilaran. But it did not matter to us, we didn’t need the tour. I didn't rate Service a 5 -- as a new establishment, food service still needs some improvement.

It''s exclusively complete hideaway with only eleven (11) rooms! The place is newly opened. Staff are courteous, friendly and efficient. Rooms are always cleaned and foods are good, though the price is a little bit higher. You have no choice, there's no restaurants nearby, but the pool overlooking the sandy white beach is just fantastic. You may, in some evenings, find yourself chatting, playing Billard Games and enjoying some fine wine with owners, Cornelius and Grace, who are both very friendly and accommodating Hosts.

My wife, my son (2 years old) and I spent 8 nights in this hotel in December 2009.
We had a beach view room. The view from the balcony is amazing (see my pictures).
The room (bed, tv, shower room) is ok, clean; the furniture is very simple and a bit old fashioned. Very nice and big swimming pool with a great view.

The hotel is far from anything else. So you have almost no choice but having your breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. It's not a problem as the food is excellent and cheap. Coktails also are well prepared by the barman, always at a very low price.

But what really makes a difference between the hotel and all the hotels we've ever been to in the past (and we travelled quite a lot) is the service. The staff is extremely nice and at your disposal. Grace, the manager, is also very nice and will do anything she can to help you and make your stay unforgettable.
Just to give you an example, they took care of our kid (2 years old) several times so that we could go out snorkelling. They did it for free, and he had a great time with them. The one who took care the most of our son almost cried when we left. Amazing, really...

If I go again to the Philippines, the only reason why I could choose another place is because I would like to visit another island. But if I go again to Bohol or Panglao, I will definitely stay there.

By the way, we also stayed 3 nights in Ananyana hote in Panglao island. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms much nicer than in Anda. The staff is professional but not really friendly, at least not friendly compared to Anda's. Because of this, I would strongly advise Anda White Beach Resort!
