“Overnight Stop from Eurotunnel”

A little off the beaten track but well worth a short detour. Spacious private parking. Plenty of luggage trolleys to use. Reception staff were friendly and the room was a good size on the ground floor with lovely lake views over a large lawn. It was clean and the shower was one of the best in France. The terrace bar was comfortable and overlooked a small swimming pool. The restaurant and service was very good.

I've stayed three times now at this hotel, just for one night each time on my way to Austria. All stays have been wonderful. Lovely rooms with balcony overlooking the lake, very helpful staff and good food. Just beware that the bar is very expensive.

We stayed here overnight on a drive back from Germany. The place is a little difficult to find, but once you get there it is worth it. We have a spacious room overlooking the lake and the view was breath taking. We arrived late afternoon when the restaurant was closed, but the receptionist organised a couple of baguettes for us to have for lunch for which we were very grateful not having eaten since breakfast.
The views over the lake are just beautiful and we had a lovely walk in the grounds, before a delicious dinner sitting gazing out over the lake.
Fabulous - I would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the lake.

We went to Chamouille for relaxing/swimming/playing golf/the silence/green environment and good food. This combined wishes are not easy to find. Friends have recommended us Hotel du Golf de l’Aillette. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. We had a nice view on the lake from the terrace. The hotel is situated in a very nice environment. The staff is working very professional and friendly. The golf course is nearby but you need a car to get there. The breakfast is very extensive and very good. You can dine on the border of the lake and the quality of the dishes were good. We have enjoyed it.

A very good hint from our friends

Booked this one on line, liked the look of the place and as it offered Fitness Centre and Massage decided to make it our overnight after a very long driving day.

Asked on-line to have a table for two booked for dinner and also requested a massage for my wife .

Turned up as reserved and reception said they would contact Fitness and reserve a Massage appointment for next morning. They had received our request and had reserved us a table for dinner.

Room was comfortable, Dinner was o.k. but nothing special considering the price.

Next morning was told no Massage available, the staff could not have cared less.... Explained that our only reason in taking a long detour from our route to stay with them was to have the massage ; again not even an apology. RUBBISH SERVICE !!

Room Tip: The lake frontage rooms are cooler in Summer.

Stayed here on the way down to Burgundy and wished I had spent a bit more time finding somewhere else to stay - chose it cos it was in the country so we didn't have to negotiate a town, but forgot that most towns in France are quite small and easily negotiable. Anyway it was ok, big room which was clean and free wifi. Food was ok also.

Room Tip: I think most of the rooms overlook the lake but you can't see it when sitting on the balcony fro...

Stayed here with a group of around 30 riders attending a track day nearby. The service was consistently superb from all staff; our first room was above the bar and consequently a bit noisy, when we asked if another was available we were switched without question, all of our stuff moved and replaced in exactly the same positions in the alternative room - which was much more peaceful - very odd, but very efficient.

The food was excellent, even for us vegetarians, and again all queries were answered positively and with complaint. The lakeside setting and great vista just add to an excellent place to stay.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms above the bar and entrance hall!!
