“Third and best visit”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

We'd stayed a few days the last two years in the single letting room, which is situated in the lower ground floor of the main house. This year we took son, his wife and their 18 month son as well. They stayed in the gite and as always we stayed in the single room. This worked out very well as we weren't under each other's feet but were able to share the pool and the extra kitchen they've put in so we could be totally self-catering. It's the pool area that helps make this one of the best places we've ever stayed - it's very spacious and you can spend all day there. Paul and Sue have put a lot of effort in and it would be hard to imagine that many similar places could be as good. They're also very good hosts giving a level of discreet attention that's reminiscent of the best restaurants, which is actually their background. Lauzerte seems relatively unknown to Brits - surprisingly as it's beautiful country. There's a few man-made lakes which are good to visit with children as they have safe beaches and lots of things for them to do. This was a pretty near-perfect visit and we're probably going back next year.

This was our first trip to this part of France so we wanted a good standard of accommodation in a good location.

Lamoulere is a super place and what we loved about it was that it is perfect for couples. The pool and patio are for the exclusive use of the gite and this was a real bonus.

The standard throughout the gite is exceptionally high. It is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The hosts Paul and Sue were lovely. They were able to suggest places to visit and advise on local restaurants. We particularly enjoyed our drink together on the last night.

We struggled a bit with the damp and cloudy weather during our stay but it forced us to go out and about exploring the very attractive towns and hillside village - most within an hours drive. On sunny days we headed straight for the pool and hardly moved all day!

We will have fond memories of Lamoulere and hope one day to return.

Sorry this has taken so long to write a review. We stayed in the gite in September 2012 for a week and could have happily stayed a month. What a wonderful place to relax and such delightful owners in Sue and Paul. No detail was left out and to have the garden, pool and patio area to yourself was something special. Spent many a happy hour pottering outside and also hope didn't hinder Paul too much with my inquisitive gardening. Thank you for the drinks and nibbles, lovely touch. Hope to return soon and good luck to you both
Mary and Phil

I was lucky enough to stay here while on a cycling and eating trip in South West France. It is charm personified. Paul and Sue, the owners, could not be kinder. The views are stunning and the region has so much to offer. If you are looking to explore this fascinating region of France, her food and wine - this is the place to stay. Thank you Paul and Sue

We stayed at Lamoulere for four nights on a bed & breakfast basis in a beautifully rennovated and well appointed double room in the main farmhouse.

The room was spacious with very comfortable beds and bedding - we slept really well. It also has a luxury modern bathroom with an awesome walk in shower. There was plenty of wardrobe storage available, space to put things and seating. We had our own small terrace complete with chairs and table for enjoying the stunning sunsets with an amazing view of Lauzerte. The garden and grounds/setting are beautiful. There is plenty of space for relaxing in the sun or shade. What was really nice was to have such a good view of the bastide but be only a 5 minute drive away from the village with it's ammeneties.

The main house and Gîte have been really well rennovated with a careful eye for detail. Everything is immaculate and well cared for. The Gîte looks beautiful and the private pool and gradens are superb. If we were staying in the area again for a week then we would definitely book the Gîte. For a stopover or flying visit the Lamoulere bed & breakfast is superb. It offered great value for money for an immaculate room with a high level of service from the owners, Paul and Sue. They are lovely lovely people who know how to look after their guests as they have a professional backgound in the industry. Breakfasts were great and in a different league to those you normally find in a French chambre d'hôte - bread, pastries, cereals, plenty of fruits, juices, eggs... We opted to have an evening meal one night and found the level of catering was superb and we also enjoyed sampling the local wines! I would say, it felt like a stay at a top quality hotel rather than a rural bed & breakfast given the level of service and standard of accommodation - and I'm fussy!

Would return and recommend Lamoulere very highly!!

This is a luxurious gite, ideal for two, with private gardens and pool.
The one bedroom gite is very well appointed, with plent of room for two.
There is TV, and internet acces, but why would you, when you are in the most stunningly idyllic location you could imagine. I live in the West Indies, so sun sand and beaches do not really feature in my holiday idyll.
Paul and Sue are consumate hosts, making the stay very relaxing, and providing meals (if ordered).
Is the most relaxing holiday I can envisage.
