Wanted to stay in Saumur to break up our journey to Paris and couldn't have hoped to find a better option. The hotel is located in the centre and is a modern gem - bright welcoming reception area with friendly staff. We were showed to our room which was modern and functional - tastefully furnished with a comfortable bed, coffee machine and nice bathroom. Free wifi and a great TV - we couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast was good and parking very secure so it was a winner all round!
Can also recommend Pizza Sacha - it might not look amazing from the outside but the pizzas are fantastic (thin and crispy) and the service brilliant! Extremely reasonable pricewise!

Stayed for 3 nights in November. As others have said, great central location for getting about, seeing the sights and access to the railway station (we walked). Also handy for buses, tourist information office and bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. On a busy street but double glazing keeps out any noise. Extremely comfy bed and room and shower room very clean. Rooms all have individual names and colour schemes which adds to the character.
Breakfast OK, fairly standard. Make sure you only pay for the ones you have - no room number taken, and we didn't have breakfast the middle morning. Explained this before bill made up and no problem as a result.
As others have said, reception is on the first floor and there is no lift to it or to rooms on other floors, so may not be best bet for anyone with mobility issues. But staff would probably help with bags, as they offered to take our bags up and we also saw them taking bags downstairs for others.
If we are back in Saumur, will definitely stay here again. And the little snack bar across the road does a great and very good value club sandwich (the proprietor even went out to get the bread to make them up!).

Room Tip: Room was at front of hotel, onto busy street, but no problem with noise

Stayed at this hotel from 28 Oct for 6 nights and my father & I couldn't believe our luck at finding such a lovely hotel for such good value.

The staff were so friendly & the rooms beautifully decorated. My dad had the 'corail' room whereas I had 'romance' and both were gorgeous.

Breakfast is a steal - 8€ for a buffet and as much coffee/tea/hot chocolate as you want. Fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, bread as well as yogurts, cheese, meat, eggs, cereals & fruit. A coffee up the road costs about 3€ so it is definitely good value.

Parking is secure & excellent value again, 5€ a day - I emailed ahead to reserve.

The hotel is located on one of the main streets in Saumur & our rooms were on the front of the building yet we were not kept awake by any noises. It's a great hotel located in the centre near some really good restaurants.

Highly recommend this hotel!

Myself & my husband stayed at Hotel de Londres for two nights as part of our French Tour in early October. The hotel is in a great central location & we were able to secure a parking place for both nights which was great. The hotel is well presented with a modern contemporary feel, our room was bright & colourful (orange theme) with a modern shower room & seperate but very very small toilet, which was the only negative I could find! We also didn't have air conditioning which I could imagaine could be problematic at the hit of summer, but we were happy to throw open the beautiful big windows onto the street below.Internet access is available free in the which is always appreciated & we found all the staff warm & friendly. A great hotel in the centre of Saumur which is modern, clean & certainly not expensive, would recommend for a few nights stay,

A good central location. The reception is on the first floor and doesn't have a lift so luggage has to be taken up before booking in. Parking is at the rear at 5 euros per night, suggest you book as space is limited. Breakfast was 8.25 euros each although our booking confirmation was at 8 euros. Wifi is advertised as free of charge throughout hotel but again they tried to charge for it, which I refused to pay. Beware!!!! the eggs on the breakfast table unlike at many hotels which are hard boiled are not here, they are fresh and have to be boiled in a pan. It's very hard to conceal an uncooked egg after cracking it on your plate!!!!

This is our second visit to this hotel. The hotel rooms have been beautifully decorated, with attention to detail, beds very comfy and lovely crisp bed linen, perfect after 2 weeks in a caravan. We were in a family room which had air con which was a great bonus. The hotel is in the centre of Saumur, close to the square where you will find some lovely bars and restaurants. Saumur offers some beautiful sparkling wine, you can visit a number of cave`s and take the full tour or just wine taste. Louis de Grenelle is a must, the wine is absolutey delicious, also visit the Ackerman cave, beautiful wine. The hotel offers secure parking at 5.00 euro per day, though it is advisable to book prior to arriving. Great hotel and lovely town, well worth a visit.
