We picked this hotel for its location in the central Loire valley. It is charming, good value and wonderfully located near the heart of the old town of Saumur. Parking has to be booked in advance and is a bit limited and a bit of a tight squeeze, but we always had someone from the hotel to help guide us in and out of tight parking spaces and help with reversing back onto the road. The room was not huge but had oodles of charm and the bathroom was more than adequate, clean & tidy. Th.e communal rooms and small terrace had a lovely atmosphere and the G&Ts were huge! We were mainly looked after by the owner, Regis who couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was included and was superb! Regis also recommended a couple of restaurants in the old town, one of which was very good but the other a little lacking. Overall excellent base for exploring the Loire.

It’s a nice little place down a small side street opposite the church and right on the edge of the old town. The owner is very pleasant and makes you feel very much at home in this place that you can tell has had some very nice and unusual personal touches done to it. The rooms were large and I suppose the décor could best be summed up as ‘old reagle’ style. If small, friendly with comfort is what you are looking for then this is the place.

We had a wondeful time at st Pierre in Saumur. Regis was a generous host. The rooms and hotel are beautifully decorated. The location is fantastic just iff the a lively square with plenty of cafes and restaurants. Regis helped park the car. Breakfast was lovely.

Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Saumur. Beautifully appointed rooms and the best breakfast we had in France this trip with fresh fruit, crepes and freshly squeezed orange juice. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Booked for a birthday weekend trip, this charming hotel was wonderful. Regis did all he could, especially to calm my nerves concerning parking! There are sufficient spaces but the location of the building right in the heart of the old town means that a bit of 'shuffling' may be called for. The hotel sits close to the cathedral and is in very easy walking distance of the town centre restaurants and attractions. Good attention to detail made for an interior which blends modern features with the traditional fabric of the building - well thought out and welcoming. No dining facilities other than breakfast are offered, but this is not a negative as the closest restaurant is about three doors away! Croissants, breads, fruits, yoghurts and pancakes for breakfast, all very well presented. There is a small bar for an evening drink as well. Charming.
