“Good visit for great price.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012 via mobile

Interesting, two hour visit to a complete winery. Starts with brief, basic introduction on vinification, then followed by tour of winery, underground cellars and wrapping up with tasting. We tasted 9 of their wines which were interesting and not overpriced. Unpretentious, kind and professional, for 5 euros, this is a steal.

“Wine tour & tasting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

Many fabulous wine to taste after a short lesson in wine making and a tour of the caves. Well worth your time and the wines are reasonably priced.

Hello, Langeais is one of the famous castles of the Loire.
Langlois-Chateau, however is a domaine located in Saumur. Edouard Langlois was actually a man from Normandy, who went to champagne to discover the traditionnal method at the start of XXth century. On his way back to Normandy, he stayed in Saumur and met Mrs Jeanne Chateau there: they got married and started the House Langlois-Chateau of Saumur and Loire Valley wines. So we are actually not a castle but Langlois-Chateau is the combinaison of the two names of our founders. Come see us in Saumur!

“Château and gardens”

The structure alone is beautiful, bit the grounds are well kept and interesting. The park and children's play area above the château are a bonus for families.

“Wine Tasting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2012

This was arranged for us but was one of the best informative sessions we have had . Our guide took us into a classromm session as well as the traditional cellar tour and tasting .Our education improved of the Loire Grapes and wine produced at Langlois Chateau, I can not stress enough the enthusiasm of our guide ,or the time taken to explain, and answer questions whether you are a seasoned wine taster or an keen amateur or just interested this is worth a couple of hours of your time in Saumur

Thank you very much for your nice comment! We are lucky to have a great natural site with Vineyards and our Cellars on top of a cliff, and 4 km of natural caves dug just underneath in the tuffeau stone. We strive to make our tour the most interesting possible, and to offer both our still and sparkling wines (our Langlois Crémants de Loire) for tasting. We hope to see you again soon at Langlois-Chateau!
