Anyone who is after a relaxing break in a high quality Gite then this is defiantly the place to go. The Gite is kept to an extremely high standard but still feels very homely has English sat-tv so in the evening you can catch up on the news or laugh at the rubbish weather back home, also free WIFI for email or to keep in touch with your social network gang. A good base for travel with many chateaus or towns within 30 - 40 minutes drive, if your not interested in driving there are 2 bicycles to leisurely go down the quiet lanes to the local vineyard or shop.
Would definitely recommend to any of my friends.

We have added GPS co-ordinates to our website and also given detailed directions from Suamur on our website and now advise guests of this a couple of weeks prior to their stay. We have also made a point of asking guests regarding this issue on arrival and have had 100% positive feedback. We really appreciated this issue being raised.

“A superb property which cannot be faulted in any way.”
Reviewed June 27, 2011 for a stay in June 2011

We have stayed in this area of France many times and have stayed in several properties in the area more than once. This was our first visit to Le Grenier and we will definately be returning. The gite is beautifully furnished and equipped and the gardens are perfect for children. Everything was well maintained and very clean. We arrived late in the evening on the first day and we were made to feel very welcome by Andy and Jackie, who are both lovely.
I would recommend this property in every way. We have been back 48 hours and my daughter is already asking when we will be returning.

“An ideal place to stay”
Reviewed June 6, 2011 for a stay in May 2011

Over the last 15 years we have stayed in many gites, most of which were reasonably good. For Le Grenier, however, only one qualification does apply: SUPERB ! Really clean, well presented, fully equipped with everything you may need. Located in the Saumur region, it is an excellent base to explore the region between Saumur/Angers and Poitiers, with many castles and abbeys (e.g. Fontevraud, a must!). And the owners are really lovely and helpful people.

“Total relaxation”
Reviewed May 22, 2011 for a stay in May 2011

From the moment we arrived, Andrew & Jackie made us feel so welcome. They are extremely proud of their gite and quite rightly so - it is very comfortable and like "home from home". The accommodation was spotless when we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble for Andrew & Jackie - they advised on the best places to visit in the area and where to eat. The gite is in a lovely rural location, away from the hustle and bustle of life.
We visited the Zoo at Doue - what a place - a must do visit! We also went on the Wine Tour, a good job that Andrew took us and then picked us up afterwards!!
We also went to the chateaux at Montreuil Bellay and spent a day in Saumur.
All in all, a wonderful holiday which is highly recommended - we will be back!!
