Fairly unprepossesing from the outside, this is a lovely restaurant. Unfussy, but welcoming, the food is straightforward, but very good. Starters of mushroom and cheese, and scallops were both excellent. Main courses of cod and rabbit were also good, though the pasta accompanying both was a bit of a let-down (best left to the Italians). Desserts of creme brulee and ice cream were both top-drawer, and the local chenin blanc was a great accompaniment. Would definitely eat here again if we find ourselves in Saumur.
