First visit to Chez Remi in it's new location on rue des 2 Haies. Seems a bit sombre from the outside but it's pleasantly airy inside with high ceilings, the same colour scheme as the old location and nice and quirky. We opted for the 18€ lunch menu and enjoyed a simple tomato and feta salad (simple but elegantly presented, good olive oil) and beetroot soup with chorizo (very good) followed by a slice of slow braised paleron served the violet potato mash, yellow carrot and fresh autumn mushrooms (very tasty indeed). A glass of petillant from Jo Landron to start with 'Atmospheres' made a refreshing change and Marula Le Haut Midi Touraine 2011 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, with a touch of Grolleau and smidgeon of Gamay) was a really good choice with the beef. With a coffee each the bill came to 66€ which was excellent value for money.
