We were offered rooms here as our original chateau could not accommodate us as planned so were given a 'charm' room. However the room was no bigger than a cupboard and very dark with just one window.
The hotel graciously offered us an upgrade at no extra cost, which we gratefully accepted and even though it was on the second floor, was very beautiful.
We opted for the bistro selection at dinner which was delicious as was the breakfast, which had been kindly been offered to us by the chateau which had originally cancelled us.
The director was apologetic as she could not offer us the same room for the second night.
Once we said we were then checking out, she did seem to lose interest in us, and left us saying she 'would then try and sell the room we were not taking' which somehow took away the glamour.
Had the internet pictures shown a true representation of this small room, we would not have booked it in the first place nor come to the chateau as there are hundreds of beautiful chateaux in the Loire valley area.
However, the pool, grounds, hotel, restaurant are absolutely delightful with a wonderful aspect over the countryside and well worth a visit.
All the staff were charming and well trained and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend to anyone, though would suggest booking a larger room.
