An ideal hotel for visiting Angers and the Loire Valley. The Mercure Centre was a great hotel for 40+ people visiting the area. The rooms were clean, modern and very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel staff were always very helpful and courteous especially in reception. Although there is a restaurant in the hotel, there are also numerous excellent eating places within easy walking distance. The hotel is also close to a very pleasant and peaceful botanic garden.
Buses and trams are nearby.

The Mercure Centre, at the Centre des Congrès, is a nice hotel with pleasant staff. Despite noisy traffic nearby, the rooms are quiet and comfortable and well above-average for a 3-star rating. Like in most Mercure hotels, the in-house restaurant is good, with original and tasty meals, though a bit pricey. Service, however, was occasionally a bit slow.

This hotel is situated in an excellent location within walking distance of the Cathederal, Angers Chateau and a good selection of restaurants.
The rooms were very clean, well decorated with tea & coffee fascilities and a comforatable bed.
Convenient parking under the hotel which was charged to our room.

We stayed here for 4 nights during a conference. It is a essentially part a hotel chain, and was integrated with the city's small concert arena. The surrounding gardens were beautiful, an urban oasis. Rooms were clean, but ordinary. Hotel staff was helpful. Location was convenient to the university (5 minute walk), 10 minutes to cental plaza, 20 minute walk to train station. Good breakfast.

This is a rather lovely Mercure attached to the Congress Centre and within walking distance of the shops of the town centre and the historic parts of Angers near the cathedral. It is fully modernised with a choice of room styles. The front desk staff were particularly competent and welcoming. The hotel has a secure underground car park. We paid a little extra for a “Privilege” room overlooking the Jardin des Plants. This was a lovely room, very modern, quiet and fully equipped (safe, fridge with complimentary soft drinks, expresso coffee maker, flat screen TV and free wi-fi). The room furnishings and bathroom were really excellent and almost up to Sofitel standard. We had one meal (other than breakfast) in the restaurant, which had a rather “nouveau cuisine” menu with small, unusual dishes. The breakfast was above average. We took advantage of a 50% off offer which Accor feature during the summer – something to look out for.

Stayed overnight on the journey from France. The hotel was easy to find after a pleasant journey through the Loire valley. There was a secure underground car park - but mind the pillars while manoeuvring.

Efficient check in and warm welcome.

The room was large and modern and the bed extremely comfortable. There was a coffee machine available in the room, but unfortunately did not work. Good lighting in the room - ideal for working / reading - and an hour's free wi-fi access.

The bathroom was spotlessly clean with one of the best showers I've experienced in hotels - very hot and powerful. Bathroom was well equipped with complimentary items - slippers, bath robe, shampoo, soap, moisturiser and vanity set. Large mirror in the bathroom and two further full-length mirrors in the bedroom.

Breakfast was extremely good. The waiter greeted us and offered us a table by the window overlooking the park. He offered us fresh tea / coffee which he brought to the table. Good selection of continental breakfast items (bread, pastries, fresh fruit, ham, cheese etc) which was topped up regularly. A water bath was available to boil your own eggs and a juicer with a selection of citrus fruits - the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious!

I would be happy to stay here on an overnight stop or even for a longer break - very comfortable, clean and good value for money.

Please note that there is a 10 / 15 minute walk into the centre of the city (castle and cathedral) although there is a nice park next to the hotel.

(Was Marine Hotel) Current roadworks make it impossible to park nearby - you have to park 300 metres away. Also rooms very hot and WIFi asks intrusive questions. But Novo restaurant was great.
