“Good service, mediocre food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

The waiters were very friendly and service oriented. The quality of the food not memorable. The main course a bit undercooked and the wine selection a bit on the lacking side.

“A Pleasant Surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2012

We went there on a Sunday night, when it appeared that almost every other restaurant was closed. So we didn't know what to expect. The oysters were excellent and the fish dishes we had were both very good. Whilst the "tiramasu" was delicious, it wasn't actually tiramasu, but rather cake with strawberry mousse. The brasserie had the advantage of being close to our hotel, and next time we are in Angers we shall probably go there by choice instead of as a last resort.

I've been there on several occasions. Conveniently located opposite the railway station. Good food, good service.

“Arrogant attitude and a very poor experience”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2011

We went into this restaurant on the basis of recent trip advisor reviews and local recommendation and the food did look nice. On entering a point was made of responding to my perfectly adequate French in English as if to prove a point. I do not object to a response in English if done in a civil and helpful way. However when our food arrived it was only luke warm.I always believe in giving the opportunity to put things right but in this case things deteriorated. It took ten minutes during which eye contact was avoided and the waiter returned with food that had been blasted dry in the microwave. When I called the manager he could miraculously no longer communicate in English and in the ensuing French conversation denied there was a problem. When I said I was leaving he asked if I would pay for the wine which I of course refused as we had barely started it and the evening had been spoilt.
