“Surprised at how good it was!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Staying near to Angers and looking for something to do, I would recommend a visit to Terra Botanica.. OK, we're at the age where we're quite interested in plants and gardens, but there are things here to please all ages. Getting there is easy, its just off the Le Mans - Nantes road at junction 16 (theres also a park and ride here to get into the centre of Anger) and theres plenty of parking. Entrance at 19 euro is reasonable for what you get and we were there for a full day and didn't get to see everything. The park itself is divided into 4 zones, each reflecting a different aspect of plants on earth. In each zone there is a major attraction. The 4d roller coaster ride being outstanding! The organic cafeteria is expensive 30 euro for 2 but the quality of food was excellent. There are plenty of places to eat your picnic at. Kids might become a little bored, some of the teenagers seems to have bored faces, but little ones will find it interesting and adults with an interest in plants/the environment will love it.

“Large business event in the premises of Terra Botanica”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

In April 2013 we held a large-scale business event in the congress center of Terra Botanica park. I have to say that it is a very nice place to hold such events, since the service, catering and premises themselves were impacable! Marie - our event manager at T.B. - was extremely helpful and attentive. She prepared everything, including the seating, catering, Audio-Visual in the best order. I was especially impressed with the hall where our meals were served. It is a very nice, green house style building with glass walls and ceilings. If you are lucky like we were and you have sunny weather during your events, you will totally appreciate this venue!

The communication during preparation between our association and Terra Botanica management went very well, which I can not say about other event subcontractors in the area of Angers. Marie spoke very good English, which is a huge plus in France. The rates for catering, A&V and room rent were quite acceptable.

Thank you, Marie, and Terra Botanica for a very successful event!

When we enter the park , we thought that we were going to discover a large panel of plants and flowers from foreign countries ; was the case for few but the atmosphere sounds like a very small attraction and we stopped very quickly .

“A place for all Ages”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

It was a very rainy day but we were able to enjoy the visit in Terra Botanica. It's innovative, educating and fun. You can spend as little as 2 hours or a full day on a nice day.
You can eat at their organic restaurant or bring your food and have a picnic.
They have 3d movies, talking tree for kids, boat ride, few different area dedicated to different subjects.

“What a quirky place to visit”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

What a unique place to visit. From a gardener's perspective I am sure this place will satisfy. Such an incredible range of interesting plants to observe. If you are looking for a high thrills theme park this is not the place to visit as there are only a few great rides (the bamboo express 4d experience would be an adults' favourite, or the walnut pedal car for the young kids) but for a relaxing and interesting family day out this place is fantastic. We went on a Sunday in October and we often felt like we were the only ones there ( they even put one of the shows on in English as we were the only ones in the theatre)
Some very interesting areas are set up including an archaeological dig, plants growing in extreme environments including in a wall of ice, mazes, pirate ships, vegetable gardens etc etc.
we paid €55 for a family ticket and felt it was good value for money. It was very easy to pull out a picnic and eat anywhere. The staff are very friendly and helpful and if you know some French you will get even more from the experience. If possible go on a dry day as rain would impede your enjoyment of the visit slightly, but of course reduce crowds.
