We stayed in this hotel after reading Trip Advisor Reviews of which I usually agree with. However, I cannot agree with the positivity regarding this hotel. Whilst the location is quiet, the reception staff are incredibly helpful and the underground parking (7.50 Euro charge) the main focus of a hotel stay is the room and facilities.
We were incredibly disappointed with the room. Yes, the beds are sofa beds but they were very uncomfortable and whilst we were prepared for this, we did not expect the revolting smoke smell which seemed to be in both the single lift and the corridors. The rooms are so basic and really not worth the money spent. Whilst I appreciate this is a budget hotel, this does not even compare with the Novotel Suite (similar type of accomodation) which we stayed in last year. The rooms did not give any real feel of cleanliness and the heat was unbearable. I did read on a previous review that rooms were hot but nothing prepared us for the heat! A single fan was provided but for the two rooms, this was inadequate.
I would not recommend this hotel at all and certainly not for families. I will have a need to stay in Angers in the future but will definately not use this hotel again.
A really disappointing stop over!

Nothing flash but a nice clean roomy apartment for a good price. We stopped over on our way through France and would probably use it again. Angers itself is nice enough, the castle and tapestry the obvious highlights. Worth a visit.

booked both a family room and a double toom. For the family room, the ONLY comfortable sofa bed I have ever had in a hotel. A really good nights sleep. Everything clean, with nice crisp bedlinen.
Secure underground car park.
Staff really friendly, and a lovely town to visit - quickly off the motorway, and only a short stroll into town.
Only downside was the week I was there was very very hot, with fans, but no a/c. I 'd suggest requesting a room overlooking the gardens rather than the street.

Stayed in this apartment hotel, very simple (but not basic), clean and a good location for a short walk into the vibrant town. Small kitchenette in the room if you wanted to cook but some good restaurants and shops near by. If you going to the hospital or university it's a small walk!

We have used several aparthotels over the last few years, some have been good, some excellent. This one falls into the former category, with a few niggles letting it down.
As with all the reviews I have read the staff cannot be faulted and were pleasant and very helpful. The rooms are quite big, ours was a double room and a double sofa bed, the small kitchenette had everything we needed for our three day stay. A previous occupant had obviously boiled milk in the kettle, however we were given a new one without question. If you want fresh coffee you will need filters for the machine. The room was hot at night but the fan provided did help. One issue which cannot be solved easily was that the bedroom door opened outwards, the sofabed, when down, blocked this so the door had to be left open or the very heavy sofa moved, as it was very hot we left it open. There is easy access to town either a walk of about 15 minutes or 5 minutes on the tram which is about 2 minutes away.
Overall we liked the place for its easy access to town and quiet neighbourhood, may not be quite so quiet during university term time though!

I booked this for a friend but visited to see what it was like. very spacious room, with well stocked mini kitchen area, view on to pleasant gardens which were quiet. It was near student accomodation which may be noisier in term time.
If you needed extra towels, or to have them changed earlier than once a week there was a charge.Reception was unmanned after 21 30 and access was via your key card and a code, which posed a few initial problems for my friend. Some of the reception staff were very helpful, others not so.
Not so convenient for the station, although there is a tram stop 5 mins walk away, and walking into town only took about 15 mins. I can't comment on the breakfast which cost 7 euros.
