This was a great four hours of fun for our family. Boys of 10 and 12 loved it. Take a picnic as there are designated areas. Lovely to see the monkeys free to roam.

Firstly best thing is the vast majority of monkeys are free to do as they please meaning you get little friends climbing all over you and stealing your hat! makes a great family day out and quite cheap as well!

My girlfriend, her 2 young boys and myself had a brilliant day. To be inches away from some of the monkeys and apes was a special experience.
As others have said, if you don't take your own food, be prepared to spend between £30 and £50 on food and drink during the day.
It's definitely worth organizing your visit by the feeding times and make sure you get to them about 15 - 20 minutes before they're due to start if you want a good seat. This is the best way to see the Gorillas, Chimps and Bonobos as their areas are very large and until feeding time, they don't usually come to for everyone to see.
Obviously all of the talks are in french but the keepers do speak english and are happy to answer questions once they've finished.

I've visited lots of different zoos and safari parks in various locations around the world and this is one of the best I've been to. It's one of the only ones where I didn't feel sorry for the animals as they all have very large areas to walk, jump and swing around.

They even have a petting area with farm animals which we all thought was great. Especially feeding the very greedy goats.
Although there wasn't anywhere in the petty area to wash your hands afterwards.

All in all this is a great day out. It was one of the highlights of our holiday in France.

Well worth a trip. While the bigger apes are on islands surrounded by water, the smaller monkeys are getting on with their lives in the trees in front of you and above your heads, without the need for fences or enclosures. Fascinating to see them close up. Don't miss feeding time for the lemurs as they all come down from the trees, and once feeding is over wonder around on the ground for a while so you can get really close to them. No touching, but if one happens to brush past you on the path.....so be it. There are two cafes - both do quite basic food, chips, crepes, sandwiches etc. An easy place to spend between 3 and 6 hours.

This place is amazing! Had expected to be seeing primates all behind glass or in cages, but no! They are all around you! It's amazing to be walking along and lemurs are above and walking with you. The bigger primates, chimps and gorillas are just across some water but still feels like you are there with them. Will be going back!!
