This is a restaurant offering great contrasts. The food is absolutely gorgeous, very delicate and refined. The prices are affordable as I have paid about 55€ for a 3 courses menu (with only a glass of wine)
The food is totally great ! Small portions but extremely tasty ! Scallops as a starter, burbot as main course, and a fantastic desert with bitter dark chocolate cream and madarine sorbet.
The staff was extremely helpful, ready to advise on the nicest combination of dishes and drinks.
The restaurant offers a nice view on the sea, but the inside room decoration is rather unpleasant; the lightning is too bright and in addition the furnitures are obsolete.
The excellent quality of the service and of the food absolutely deserves a far better environment.
Overall for good food lovers, this restaurant is great, if you dont pay too much attention to the dining room.

We ate here twice in September 2012. The menus ARE expensive. We threw caution to the winds and had their lobster menu one night which was cooked umpteen different ways through entree, main course etc - no, not dessert! It was quite an experience, the memory of it still lingers as it was wonderful.
There is an extensive wine list - I honestly did not know that so many different Muscadet wines existed - it went into pages, so we asked for help from the waiter and were not disappointed.
In many senses the restaurant is plain and straightforward, the staff relaxed, and the location right across from the sea allowed for a post dinner walk.
If staying half board at the Bellevue Plage Hotel which it is part of, it is possible to stay half board and there is a less expensive menu for hotel guests.
Two Americans dining there one of the evenings we were there said it was simply 'the best'.

The restaurant isn't very posh and flashy, but the food is really good. The desserts alone are worth 5 stars, I had one of the best ones I have ever tasted (caramel mousse).

On the negative side is that the service seems ad hoc and slow. We waited for what seemed for hours to order our drinks from the menu that was given us when seated. Things picked up, though, so I will not deduct any points for this minor offence.

The atmosphere is average, nothing fancy or special, looks just like any ordinary hotel restaurant.

Not flash like some of the restaurants on the beach and hotel restaurants linked to the big hotels, so they have to try hard as half way down the promenade. Classic French but light and with modern twists. Not snooty or full of Chanel sunglasses.
