If you like seafood, go here.
The owner speaks solid English which was great since we couldn't decipher the menu. We enjoyed smoked salmon appetizer and also tuna 3 ways(both awesome). Our dinners were monkfish with pesto(wife loved) and sliced steak which was one of better pieces of meat in France.
Oh and the owner gave us a few Carmels they make too. Fantastic.....go and enjoy this place..

“not easy to find, but worth it”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We had trouble finding the place with our smartphone, but the owner came over to meet us in an adjacent square where we were lost. He was extremely nice. The place is located in a modern building, but the furnishing is pleasant and inspired to the sea. We ate coquille st. Jacques, Pavé de Bar Tandoori, Lotte en médaillons, Persillade et Aubergines and Saint-Pierre, Aromates, écrasée de Pomme de Terre. Dessert: carré de Chocolat et Framboise. Everything tasted very good and the compositions were perfect. Good white wine. good espresso coffee. The total bill 135 Euros (3 people). I highly recommend to try this restaurant while in Rouen

“Spectacular”

My favourite restaurant in Rouen. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the fish... oh the fish was so good. You'll struggle to find better seafood anywhere in the world.

“good food for the price but.....”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

The food was good, but the service was definitely not up to the reputation of the restaurant (or what is expected in France).
The service was extremely slow and badly timed.
Just an example: we ordered a bottle of wine to go with the main course, when it was finally "arrived" at our table, we were finished with the food!...

Be also aware of the new fashion: red Bordeaux are served CHILLED (i mean "out of the freezer") if you don't specify you prefer it at the usual serving temperature (17-18 oC).

There are so many good restaurant in Rouen, this one does not need your patronage.

“Excellent food, pricy wine”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

We arrived at lunchtime in August without a reservation. The restaurant was quite busy but we got a table for two. The staff were very helpful - explaining both the dishes and some unusual wines (don't expect the obvious Muscadet). My wife's gambas a la plancha were outstanding. We both had the cod main course, which came with very interesting vegetables and was first class. My only grumble relates to the customary horrendous mark-up on the wine - a bottle of Cheverny, that I found in a local wine merchant the next day at one-third of the price. But La Pecherie is by no means the only offender in this regard.
We will go back next time we are in Rouen.
