We were on route back from the south west of France and stopped off for one night in Rouen. We had booked a family room for approx 100 Euros B&B in the centre with pre-booked parking. Our room, No 25, stank of urine and over-looked a residential apartment block and a green roof. It was basically decorated but had a big clean bathroom, 2 double beds and a single and all were made up with clean sheets and a blanket. The room was quite spacious. The smell seemed to come from the carpet and not the beds. We had to sleep with the windows open but it was quiet as we were not on the road. The next morning the breakfast was lovely, typically French with cereal, bread, croissants, cheese, yoghurts, tea, coffee, etc. Next time we will stay outside the centre as a stop-over as it is difficult to find your way in and out of the town and the hotels outside the centre are better quality and cheaper.
I have marked very good for location because if you want the centre, this is 10 mins walk from cathedral but no good if you are just using it as a stopover.

Room Tip: specify that you don't want a smelly room !!? and make sure you book the parking as there are only 4 spaces for the hotel in the underground carpark.

The only reason we stayed there was the place we wanted to go to: 50 yards down the street.
We payed 100 euro for a room with 2 single beds, a parking space and breakfast. The man that helped us in the morning was really friendly and helpfull, the girl in the afternoon and evening was doing 'just a job'. Getting in and out of the parking was a nuissance. Breakfast was OK but nothing special and neither was the hotel. Judge for yourselves: did we pay too much?

Room Tip: Do they have good rooms?

Stayed here for 2 days on route to Paris. Room overlooking river seine in centre of town. Secure parking 9 euro per day. Continental buffet breakfast 7.40. Friendly helpful staff gave us a town map on arrival. Comfortable en suite room with en suite, balcony and free wifi. Great for our stay in Rouen would recommend and would return

We wanted an overnight stop within reach of Calais before heading down to Limousin. It was important to us to have secure parking so we did not have to unpack the car which was full of camping equipment.

The hotel is relatively central, and provided parking as promised. Rouen is less attractive than I remembered, but we had a fair meal close by. However, the hotel is effectively on a dual carriageway, and it was too noisy to open the windows - which was uncomfortable on such a warm night.

Breakfast was fine, if run of the mill.
