Ibis Rouen Centre Rive Gauche

Stayed here with a coach party. As in other Ibis establishments coping with large numbers at breakfast is a challenge! The staff were very friendly and worked very hard to ensure that everyone got served breakfast as soon as possible. The management should ensure that basic items such as cutlery and crockery are available for all patrons without the staff having wash them up! The addition of another drinks machine would be of great assistance! The staff were excellent, however they need support from management to provide the basic equipment to allow them to do the job.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and visitors who have a schedule to meet should seek an early breakfast thus ensuring they avoid the first come first served situation created by the lack of basic equipment.
Well done the staff!

Perfect hotel for a weekend in Rouen or a stop over on the way to Paris. Access to the town centre is 5 mins, very easy to find from the motorway to Calais / Dieppe. The rooms are very clean, great sleep, hot showers. Breakfast is continental all you can eat so very good value. Easy access to the main railway station Via the metro ( 10 mins) or you can walk up the hill in 25 mins. We left our car here for 2 days whilst in paris at a cost of £4 per day. Very safe

A bit tricky to find but well worth the effort. No frills but everything was more than adequate. Very easy access to and from the town as the tram stop is directly outside the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast, well stocked bar. Clean rooms albeit it a bit on the small side. Would definitely use this hotel again though as it easily met our requirements for a long weekend break.

Stayed here 1 night with 3 generations of my family. Location is convenient and rooms quiet. We were able to walk into the city centre (our ages ranged from 4 to 70 year olds) and get the tram back. Breakfast was fine too.

This is a good budget hotel in a great location, as visitors are able to get to the centre of the city pretty quickly. However, my fiancé was under the impression that the reception smelled of drains, although I couldn't smell anything. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly & they spoke English - which was good.

The room was pretty basic (there wasn't even a kettle in the room to make any tea or coffee) but at least there was a window which we could open to get air into the room.

I didn't think much of the facilities for eating as there wasn't much for vegetarians. They didn't even have any fish - just meat. I was surprised at this as there's a very large supermarket across the road where food could be obtained.

Personally, I'd recommend going to that supermarket to save on a few Euros as there were no places in the hotel where visitors could buy drinks or have any snacks as much of the items would need to be bought from behind the bar - which is unnecessarily expensive.

All in all, if visitors are looking for a luxurious stay, this is not the hotel for that. If visitors are looking for a place to sleep ONLY while they visit Rouen for the majority of the day, then this is a good hotel for you.

Located in a great location, the tram stop is 30 seconds walk from the hotel and takes you to the centre of Rouen in a few minutes. Park your car in the Ibis underground car park.

The hotel is typical of an Ibis red hotel. very clean, modern, fresh and everything works as it should . . . but a bit lacking in character. The air conditioning was quiet and functioned well.

Breakfast was fine, no issues, plenty of food and coffee and it was all good.

The woman on reception was very helpful as is often the case with Ibis hotels, she spoke very good English which helped us very quickly get into town and see what we wanted to.

It's an Ibis . . . all the red Ibis hotels are like this which I like as it makes picking somewhere to stay much easier.
