Expensive but good location. Booked on the day of arrival and with 24 hours parking was nearly 150 euros for 1 night. Meals and breakfast out of hotel at more competative prices with many restaurants and bars all around.

We stayed in a suite, room 306. It was a corner room with an absolutely stunning view of the side of Rouen Cathedral. Although the room was very spacious, the furniture consisted on two straight back chairs and a sleeper sofa, the cushions of which slid forward when you sat on it. We could feel the springs in the king size mattress.

What a wasted opportunity to create a great space in a great room.

I do not understand how this hotel warrants a 4 star rating given the quality of the furniture in the room.

Nice accommodation however I left missing and item I cannot account for other than in the hotel room. I would urge you to use the safe for anything that is important to you or that you might need. The staff was pleasant but not too helpful.

Room Tip: Use the safe.

Good accomodation for the one night needed. Well designed rooms which make the smallish rooms appear much larger and certainly adequate for our needs on this particular stay. There is no restaurant, but there is a comprehensive room service menu, and because you are within walking distance of restaurants, this is really not a problem. Parking is underneath the hotel for a reasonable rate, but could be a challenge if you had a larger vehicle. Finding the hotel was the only challenging bit - (our sat nav took us to a dead end), so do ring the hotel for directions as the narrow one way system lanes are difficult to navigate. Rouen is a beautifully reconstructed town and we will happily stay at the Mercure again when we have time to explore the town further.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay in this hotel. Very comfortable bed , good coffee machine and kettle in the room and a balcony with view of the cathedral.

No restaurant and no hot food dish on room service over the weekend but there are plenty of restaurants on the Vieux Marche square a few minutes walk away. In the streets next to the hotel there are mainly shopping opportunities and no eating places.

Its in a very good location and very convenient to see all the sights. Having parked the car in the hotel underground car park then we walked everywhere around the centre.

Be aware that its in the middle of a mainly pedestrian zone area so getting to the hotel in a car was a bit of a challenge especially since the road we planned to use was blocked so allow a few extra minutes to find a road or ask hotel for details.

Will stay again here when we need to overnight in Rouen.

Room Tip: Room on the 4th floor with small balcony facing cathedral which was away from any passing pedestrian...

This is a good business and leisure hotel and is located in the centre of the city and next to famous Historical Cathedral of Rouen.Rooms are good and well kept and the spread of their buffet breakfast is good. This hotel does not have restaurant and neither does it have a fitness centre.Staffs are well trained and very helpful and always recogonize old customers.
Overall a very good place to stay

Room Tip: Take room on higher floor with a view to Cathedral

Our Easter stay was excellent. The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful. Particularly when we were unable to drive to the hotel because of 'route barée' and a disappearing bollard negotiation! Guests need to phone the hotel for access once in La Rue de La République, which is off the square containing Napoléon's statue and l'Abbée St Ouen. The situation of the hotel is ideal to explore Rouen on foot. A combination of the one way system and very narrow streets makes driving around VERY interesting! The buffet breakfast was excellent. The absence of a restaurant in the hotel was not a minus as there are many restaurants and cafés all around to suit all pockets. The boulangerie just 15 metres to the left of the hotel's exit, on your right handside, is superb..filled baguettes, wonderfully light millefeuille and artisan breads!

Room Tip: We had a corner room at the back; the only downside was there was no window restrictor to have the w...
