Ibis Rouen Champ De Mars

Arrived by car and found the hotel within easy access from the main highways.
A Hotel car park is available @ very reasonable prices.
Via elevator you get to the hotel reception.
Hotel personel do speak fluent english.
They are friendly and provide you with a tourist map of the city, pointing out the places of interest and nearest dining options.
Check in process was quick and efficient.
We found a clean room with a small room, working AC (used as heater).
A good selection of TV channels is available in the room (32" flat screen TV, containing french, english , spanish and german options).
Double bet was ok, our room wa silent (third floor, no views from the rather small window).
Toilet/shower were clean and working.
Check out process was again straight forward.
All in all a good budget option if you want to explore the city - paid 73 Euro for a double room.

Easy to find, easy to walk into town, the Ibis Champ de Mars is ideal for budget-conscious travellers who want to stay in this interesting city. The young man at the checkout was charming and helpful, the bartender brought a bowl of ice on request and the parking under the hotel was secure and cheap. We had dinner at the Mercure next door (superb fish platter). In the morning, the staff provided us with umbrellas as we braved the wind and rain to visit the cathedral. Recommended, but the bathroom could have been cleaner as there was a hair in the shower :(

Room Tip: If you need two rooms, there are some that are at the end of the corridor with their own door -- alm...

Stayed here for one night at the end of our holiday. Clean rooms, small bathroom but more than satisfactory for one night. Short walk into the centre of Rouen, still one of my favourite french cities. Jean D'Arc memorial, amazing shops and great restaurants a short walk from hotel! Small restaurant in hotel if you dont want to go far, not much on offer but definitely satisfactory if your tired from a long journey. We booked a table at the restaurant next door, the Mercure, which we have stayed at before but unfortunately was fully booked this time. The food was a high standards as usual! And the hotels offer a partnership so booking a table with them via Ibis was not an issue. Breakfast at the Ibis was continental but good range of meats, breads, cheese and yoghurts. The hotels are plain and do need a bit of updating, i.e. the tv has seen better days. But thanks to an early booking deal, certainly worth the money.

Room Tip: We were a group of two couples and booking early meant we got a private locked doorway that then lea...

We stopped here on our way back to the UK from the Basque country. It's fairly easy to get to off the motorway. There is a secure car park under the hotel that cost 50 cents per hour, which meant we could leave our wine/cider heavy car without worrying about it.

The hotel itself and our room appeared to be just like your typical Ibis. We had no problems apart from the dearth of plug sockets in the bedroom.

The hotel is in easy walking distance of the city centre; allowing you to walk off some of your evening meal ( or wine) before going to bed.

The member of staff on reception was very helpful, highlighting areas of interest in the city and good areas to find reasonably priced restaurants. All in all, a good choice.

Have stayed here several times en route for a Brittany hoiliday. Can't fault value, comfort and cleanliness of rooms, (including shower), friendliness and effciency of staff. On our latest visit last weekend we came down to garage on Sunday morning to find we had a slow puncture. The staff did everything they could to arrange a repair and although (being a Sunday) they were unable to solve the problem we felt they were on our side. We booked in for an extra night and they arranged a repair with a local garage on Monday morning. The hotel is convenient for the city centre, where there are excellent restaurants. The extra night was not too much of a hardship

Room Tip: I thought bed in room 101 was marginally more comfortable than 317!

Good location, by the river and a close walk to the Cathedral, and center of the town. Close to restaurants and public transport but if you can, do walk, lots of nooks and crannies to explore, little cobbled streets and squares with the old golden clock and the beautiful flower shops to photograph.
The hotel has parking, basic bedrooms and bathrooms that are clean and quiet. Good hairdryer, more towels were requested and supplied with no problem.
Continental breakfast available but not included in price (Euro 9.00), also hotel tax (Euro 0.65 each)

Room Tip: Ask for view of river but it could be noisy as main road outside. We had inside no good views but qu...

First of all I would like to say my wife and I needed to a set of Pliers to access my motor cycle panniers as I had lost the keys somwhere on route and when I asked in english (to my embarresment I can't speak French) at the reception they retrived me a set from the toolbag they had in a store room with no problems at all. The standard of english spoken by the staff was second to none and a big thank you to all the staff at this hotel especialy the young lady on reception in the afternoon around 16:00 of the 7th sept 2012.
We used this hotel twice on a trip to the south and what a good spot the hotel is easy to get to off the N28 and close to the old town center and easy to get back onto again for onward journeys. A 10 to 20 min walk takes you into the old town, info at reception, and lots of old bars and places to eat. The rooms were clean and typical transit Ibis and good enough for a nights stop over. The shower is the pod type with the nice big shower brilliant after a day on a motorcycle. The bar prices were on a par with the town and the breakfasts are extreemly good value with pleanty of choice. All in all a good hotel to stop at passing through or for a weekend break in the charming city of Rouen. We will definately be back to this hotel,
