The location of the hotel is just perfect. 7 minutes on tramway from the train station, 10-15 minutes walk to most interesting places in the city. If you would like to go to Etretat (absolutely marvellous), the bus stop is in front of the hotel. Plenty of good restaurants in the same street.
My room was clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom is large (especially for French standards). It was very pleasant to have electric cattle in the room and to enjoy a cup of tea after sightseeing.

Both owners are very friendly and with a wonderful sense of humour. I liked Havre very much and if I come back I would definitely choose the same hotel.

Stayed here for four nights having booked a room for 3 as we were travelling with our 12 year old son. A very friendly welcome from the two owners. Our room was spotless and had a lovely big bathroom. We often left the room relatively late in the morning but were not disturbed by the cleaning staff and returned from a day at the beach to a pristine room. Free WLAN worked without a hitch. The two owners were always on hand to offer tips on restaurants and attractions in the area. We would like to thoroughly recommend this hotel and will definitely return next year.

Stayed here one night on our cycling tour before we got the ferry home. Spacious, clean, nicely decorated rooms, Comfotable bed, good breakfast and very friendly fun hosts who gave us a recommendation for a great place to eat in the evening.

Jean-Pierre and Thierry were very helpful and informative. We arrived around 9:00am and check-in was around 2:00pm so they had no problem storing our luggage while we toured the town. Upon our return, they had placed our luggage directly into our room. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable. There also was a type of bookcase in the room that was very convenient to place clothes, shoes, toiletry items, etc. The wifi reception was excellent. Jean-Pierre and Thierry are quite quirky and fun and can readily answer any question that you may have regarding the city. We could definitely stay here again.

This is a really fun hotel. Nice and friendly staff! I think I will come back soon!
Thank you for this unforgetable holiday!
The staff is really helpfull and loves to work in the hotel. They enjoyed being with guest. The French has a bad reputation if it comes to service but this hotel is just great!

A lovely 2 day stay at the Carmin, room nice and clean and the bathroom looked brand new, breakfast was typical lots of fresh bread, croissant, fromage and jambon,
Jean Pierre and Thierry really welcoming and helpful,
There was a bus stop right outside the main door we just jumped on and got off at the beach, the way they pay the fares is really confusing though, the driver not helpful at all,
We loved the parking' all over the town you park in a bay and pay 4 euro to park from 09.00 to 17.30 for the day all night it is free.

We stayed in Hotel Carmin August 2012. The owners Jean Pierre and Thierry are absolutely wonderful. They cannot do enough for you, recommending places to eat, where to go etc and asking you all about it next day. The hotel itself is very clean with everything you need. The breakfast was continental and simply fresh and delicious. The only problem we had was no hot water during the day "only whisky"the boys little joke. I can understand not boosting hot water systems if people are out all day, but having to wait till 6 oçlock for hot water was a bit inconvenient. Also there could have been a non slip bath mat or hand rail in the bath as was a bit precarious getting in and out of the bath/shower as was slippy. Also the shower head in the bath was a bit low down and you did have to bend a bit to get your head under. It did seem more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel as there was no restaurant or bar where you could get a drink. Also no English speaking channels on TV all in French. It would have been good to get one English speaking channel especially for News. On the whole a great stay and we would stay here again because the owners were just so lovely.
