We didn't really eat a whole meal as we just popped in for a quick lunch. Honfleur was becoming too much (- we had walked along the beach for about 3 hours in the heat, and needed to sit down, after all we we are a bit senior) hot crowded and heaving. This little cool restaurant was a haven for tired feet and after a large glass of water the menu revealed some amazing treats at very reasonable prices... my fish was cooked in a cider sauce with overtones of curry, - sharp radish and apple gave a Norman flavour. The fish soup was delight, not a bit like the ones that come out the jar.
The chef came out the kitchen and talked of his passion for food- actually i think we tasted it. More like France used to be. Such a shame there aren't more like Le Trout.
