We reserved two apartments for ourselves and our in-laws in early June. Apartment Rouge was absolutely charming with exposed beams and a stone fireplace surround, Apartment Anis, one floor up, wasn't quite as charming, though very nice. It was very spacious and had a very nice seating area around the functional kitchen.

The owner, Penny, was charming and the restaurant recommendations were excellent. We would definitely return.

There is little that I can add to the earlier very positive comments, except to say that I concur with all of them! The place is gorgeous, and rooms clean, pleasing (as pictures show), and surprisingly roomy. The owners have done a very good job on renovating the place, and keeping it in the pristine condition afterwards. This care is also extended to guests, who are welcomed by three friendly faces (Penny, Thierry and Catherine) that appear to be always eager to assist and provide useful tips concerning restaurants, places to visit, etc. We tested some of those, and we were happy that we did. And yes, the breakfast is indeed very good too! So in short, you won't regret at staying in this place. We hope to return to it in someday as this time we didn't have enough time to properly enjoy the garden and tea room.

In June, my husband and I stayed four nights at La Petite Folie. The couple who run the place, Penny and Theirry, couldn't be more charming and helpful. They are both world travelers and have thought of every detail and creature comfort when they created their beautiful B&B. We stayed in one of the apartments complete with modern kitchen and bath, living room and lovely breakfast nook that looks out on a beautiful park. Very romantic! Catherine prepares the breakfast spread which is as delicious as it is photogenic. She bakes the best croissants I have ever tasted. Her tarts are also superb. If you are a foodie, you will not be disappointed with Honfleur's offerings. Penny sent us to some wonderful places, including Sa Qua Na, where we had one of the best dining experiences of our lives. Transcendental!

We were two couples traveling together and had originally wanted to stay in the apartments. Because the apts were already booked, we stayed in the main house and we are so glad we did.
This enabled us to get to know Penny, her husband and the staff.

The rooms are all very different but decorated so cute. (Pictures don't do it justice.) There is such attention to detail. They even have a washcloth that is black for makeup. What a great idea!

It was raining when we were in Honfleur, so we would go into the main parlor periodically and have wine or tea. They provided tea and we bought the wine at a store but they graciously provided us with wine glasses and a little appetizer. There was a cozy fire. I just can't say enough about the atmosphere of La Petite Folie.

Loved their breakfast. They have a large round table in the dining room that sits 10-12. The selection of food was great. From boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fresh pastries to fruit and coffee, it was all good. Meeting the other guests at breakfast was a bonus.

We stayed there 3 nights but wish we had stayed there 4. We thought that there might not be enough to do in the small town, but there are lots of day trips a person could make from there also. We drove to Deauville for the day and other guests were going visit villages where they made cheese or the apple-based brandy.

As others have said, the B&B is in a great location. I would recommend this to everyone.

This place is one of the very best B&Bs we've ever stayed in. For starters, the location is perfect -- you're in the heart of Honfleur but the street is still relatively quiet. Once inside, you aren't disturbed by the outside world at all. We stayed in the Mauve room, which was absolutely perfect. It's one of the smaller rooms there, but it's perfect for two people with a week's worth of luggage. The decoration in the room -- and throughout the entire B&B -- is all of the very highest quality. The room also has a lovely modern bathroom with a great shower too. Some reviewers here have complained about the stairs and the difficulties they had in getting to the higher floors (the Mauve room is at the very top -- third floor I think). It's an old building (and a B&B, not a chain hotel) so it's unreasonable to expect elevators. If you have difficulty in getting up stairs you may want to make sure you ask for a room on the lower floors. Penny the proprietor was great -- really helpful in advising us where to go for dinner, local places to visit, etc. Breakfast was superb too. All-in-all, a really fantastic place -- and somewhere we'll definitely be returning to.

My 18 year old daughter and I stayed for one night at this B&B. We had originally Planned two nights but our plans at the DDay sites shifted. We pulled into Honfluer shortly after 7:00 after a stressful drive from Rouen. We left Paris early in the morning and we're looking forward to a quiet pleasant night at this highly recommended residence. The place is beautiful, charming and well situated. We parked on the street but the car park is just around the corner if you choose that. we stayed in the Directoire Room which was lovely and well appointed. We were so tired that we just changed and hit the beds which were very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and substantial and I enjoyed all the dishes and linens used. Penny was a bit miffed that my daughter mistook the doorbell set up for a speaker and rang the bell three times and riled up the very cute dog. But we were at the end of the check in time and we assumed it was just a long day. That happens. Thierry graciously carried our substantial luggage in from our car. We wish we could have enjoyed a longer stay.

What can I say, we stayed for four nights at "La Petite Folie" in June. We went to Normandy for a car rally and our base was Honfleur. This beautiful B&B is in the centre of the old town, a superb location for exploring.
We had a lovely warm welcome from Katherine and "Berger" the gorgeous Labrador puppy. Our room was an attic room decorated in a contemporary style, very stylish. The whole house has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard paying a lot of attention to detail, like the lovely perfumed candle being lit in the evening in the hallway and fresh roses from the beautiful enclosed garden arranged in the room and communal areas.
Breakfast was an occasion in itself with a varied and plentiful array of breakfast delights, eaten around a large table in the front parlour, enabling interesting conversation with fellow travellers from different countries. Cakes and coffee are available in the afternoon. Nice touch.
Penny is a wonderful hostess and her local knowledge was helpful and valued.
My husband and I cannot fault "La Petite Folie" in anyway and would love to return at some point.
