We ate at Les Maisons de Lea on our second night in Honfleur. I saw another reviewer described the restaurant as "formal", but we did not find this to be bad. The indoor room is beautiful and the outdoor seating has a nice view of the church. The food was outstanding. The night we were there, they seemed to be a bit short on staff. There were two younger gentleman covering all of the tables, and from their frantic pace, it seemed to be a touch overwhelming. However they kept their poise and still delivered good service regardless. I would eat here again.

i would be a little less enthusiastic than many of the reviews. I can see that for lunch outside it is in a perfect location. However we had dinner in the evening and it felt like a hotel restaurant, a bit impersonal. The dining room is rather formal and laid out like a library with with leather covered chairs and floor to ceiling bookcases.
The thing that we liked least was the atmosphere, which was 'whispering quiet'. The thing that we liked best was the food, which was well cooked and tasty.
Service was a bit hit and miss - a number of details that were not right, which added up to an experience that was less than I would expect for the price. Overall it was somewhat more expensive than similar places that we have visited.

Very nice setting, friendly service and excellent food. Our very first restaurant in Honfleur and we were just very lucky to have chosen this one for our lunch. We can recommend the menu (also for the kids): Small and very tasty dishes, all very fresh (especially the fish). It is nice that also the kids can choose from the dessert menu; Choose one - you cannot go wrong!
Highly recommended!

I had lunch at Le Maison de Lea and it was an incredible experience! The restaurant is designed like an old, high class study that looks very authentic and beautiful. The dishes were amazing in taste and I enjoyed every minute!

Price is a little above average, you can of course find many other cheaper restaurants in Honfleur, but if you're in the area a visit to this restaurant will be a delightful and unforgettable experience.

Sitting on almost two squares, it is surrounded by like ancient village buildings and faces the 15th C wooden church opposite. As such, an outside seat in good weather is superb. My wife's veal was excellent until it was snatched away when it was almost finished by an over exuberant waitress and my steak was quite tender and flavoursome. A St Estephe red filled out the taste sensation. The waitress didn't know what an Irish Coffee was so I had to assemble my own. Great people spotting environment.
