“A quiet haven in a charming French town.”
Reviewed July 28, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

As previous guests have already remarked, the owners, Christine and Michel, are particularly friendly, helpful and thoughtful - the perfect hosts. They were especially considerate about our needs as parents of a 10 month old and were able to assist us with all of our requests.

The house is absolutely lovely, just right for two adults and a little one, with so many carefully thought out touches, in both renovation and design. Again, having a small child crawling around was not a problem at all, and we all felt right at home and relaxed there!

The location of the house was perfect, proving surprisingly quiet at night, but with a multitude of restaurants, museums and markets to visit just a few streets away we were never short of choices.

This was a really enjoyable holiday, all thanks to the hard work and thoughtfulness of Christine and Michel. We would not hesitate to recommend this fantastic place to anyone - such a shame we had to come home!

Christine and Michel are the perfect hosts, helping us unload our luggage on arrival, saving us a parking space and providing some food/drink essentials to get us started!

House has been lovingly restored by Michel and Christine, it is well equipped with a cinema area, open fire, well stocked kitchen and also had everything we forgot to pack (tin foil, kitchen roll, etc).

Location is perfect with a 5 minute walk to the centre of town or to the beach. We had no issues parking at night (Christine advised of numerous areas to park for free, all within 2-3 mins walk).

Garden is fully enclosed so perfect for those travelling with children or pets.

We would not hesitate to stay here again..... LOVED IT!!!

“French charm and modern conveniences in a great location.”
Reviewed June 15, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Christine and Michel met us at the house and gave us a wonderful friendly welcome. They have clearly worked hard to think of everything to make their guests stay comfortable and memorable. Everything was provided from tea, coffee and bottled water to fresh oranges together with a juicer and a bottle of Normandy cider. There were lots of hotel quality towels, together with dressing gowns in the large modern bathroom. The courtyard garden was really pretty and private...a lovely place to eat breakfast or lunch. The house itself is full of charming little touches which make you immediately feel at home. Parking is on street but we had no trouble finding a space near the house after we had moved from the place they had reserved for us at the start. Add all this to the fact that it is a few minutes walk to all of the attractions of Honfleur and you can be confident that you have found a little gem of a holiday home!
We have no reservations in wholeheartedly recommending it.

“Great location, great hostess”
Reviewed June 14, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We were welcomed late on a Saturday evening, by Christine and her husband with an unexpected home cooked lasagne, bottle of wine, Camembert cheese, and 2 raspberry tarts. What a wonderful welcome. This house is perfectly sited, a few minutes walk to the bustle of central Honfleur, but in a quiet backstreet where you get an undisturbed sleep - except for the dawn chorus. The bedroom is small but comfortable (we slept like babies the whole week), the bathroom is super spacious and modern, the kitchen is equipped with everything , and the rest of the house, including the small courtyard, is comfortable and very French. Christine has thought of everything: lots of thick white towels, an abundance of nice coat hangers, bottled water, both large and small, in the fridge, powder for the washing machine. Whatever I needed, I found. The free wifi was very good.
As for the parking, no there is no space, but we had no problem finding a free space within a couple of minutes walk, for the whole week. A couple of times there was a little parallel parking required but nothing too taxing.
Overall, it was a perfect holiday stay for us, and Christine returned our deposit without even looking round the house. Highly recommended.

“Perfect”
Reviewed June 2, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This cosy property was very clean and well maintained. Christine met us in the town to show us the way to the house. I have stayed in many self catering properties but can honestly say this was the most welcoming. Bowls of fresh fruit and a plate of lovely cakes 2 bottles of cider in the fridge and lots of bottled water
There were more than a dozen towels in the bathroom as well as 3 towelling robes.
The cottage was only a few minutes walk from the nearest restaurants and not far from the harbour.
Sadly it was to warm to check out the log fire.
We can definitely recommend this property

We booked 12 days with Christine. She met us at the church with a wide smile and that was how it was for our holiday nothing was too much much trouble. The house was perfect very well equipped in the kitchen and living areas and just five minutes from the harbour but completely quiet . Christine and Michael gave us advice on everything to make our stay perfect and so it was . We will be back

“Spot On”
Reviewed March 31, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Amazing accommodation, perfect hosts and a lovely little town.

Christine and Michel were the perfect hosts, directing us into Honfleur and greeting us with a warm fire in their beautiful gite.

The place itself was compact but had everything you could ever need for a peaceful week. We have a 11 month old daughter (think crawling, cruising, taking a few steps and everything ending up in her mouth) and whilst I wouldn't have said it was perfect for her (being an older property with period features - open fire, hard floors etc) it wasn't an issue and she was soon at home as well.

Honfleur is a beautiful place but it was quiet being out of season (March), that is until market day when it became the lively place we expected.

We would certainly return and definitely recommend!
