Good hotel for one night or several nights to visit Honfleur and his surroundings. Many restaurants not far from this hotel. Nice town. Parking: ask the reception for free or cheap places. Location very good: within a few minutes you are at the peage.

The hotel was easy to find being 5 minutes off the autoroute on the main road into Honfleur, albeit there are at least 3 IBIS hotel with a Km so could be confusing initially. Booking in was simple and quick. Parking is not available with the hotel but there are meters outside and a public car park approx. 50 metres away (free after 1900 until 0800).

Breakfast is continental and self service with a small but adequate range that should suit most people. No restaurant on site but at least 20 restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk located around the harbour and in the old town.

All was fine except one would not wish to open window for fresh air as it was on ground floor facing the front, had it been facing the back on a car park it may have been ok.
Other than that it's fine for a couple of nights.

This hotel was a good place to stay when it was a Etape Hotel. Today, it is even better with new furnishings following the take over by Ibis Budget. The price is right (52 Euros). The location is very good for exploring the town. The front desk personnel speak English and are very helpful. WIFI works very well. Bars close by.

Room Tip: Do not miss the Erik Satie museum. He was one strange dude as well as an accomplished composer. He...

Good location very close to the restaurants and open markets. Parking easy around the hotel in public parking or even in the street. The room is average size very plain and simple. Furniture just basic on the necessary. Bath and toilette a bit small, try hard to save space and offer comfort but you feel some tightness.

We were expecting much less from this hotel and were pleasantly surprised.
Having used Ibis before I’ve always thought of them as a ‘cheaper’ Premier Inn.
The hotel is in a very good location and though basic with a modern minimalist décor, it’s clean and warm.
We had room 315, which is a corner room with the extra bunk above the double bed. With just two of us this meant we had sufficient room to leave out two suitcases without having to step over them.
There’s a very small rail at the side of the bed for hanging clothes, a TV, 3 or 4 wall sockets and the hotel has free wi-fi.
There are two ‘pods’ for the toilet and shower, both ok, though the toilet did have a bit of a lingering smell.
The shower was hot and didn’t fluctuate once set.
The sink is in the room outside the pods, and as another review says there isn’t a plug.
The bed unfortunately is very hard, a thin hard mattress on an IKEA style platform bed. The pillows are thin too, so a good nights sleep was somewhat difficult.
The rooms don’t have a key or card, you are given a code number, which opens your room, and the hotel front door out of reception hours, which I think was after 10pm.
We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, which was buffet style and costs 5.95 Euros. We chose to walk to the harbour, as there are lots of restaurants to choose from there.
There are some parking spaces at the hotel with a pay meter, 4 Euros for 8 hours. Alternatively, there’s a large car park directly over the road from the hotel, which costs 14 Euros for 24 hours.
There’s also a car park over the ‘marina’ entrance, a 5-minute walk over the small bridge, this cost 4 Euros for 24 hours. We used this one purely as it saved us 20 Euros. There is a barrier on the bridge though I’m not sure if it is closed at night. Our car was the only car left each morning, and I was a little worried about it not being there, perhaps a bit paranoid.
As there wasn’t any information about charge times, and reception didn’t know, it just meant I went out each morning before 9am to get another parking ticket. All the parking meters accept credit cards.
We looked at a few other hotels before booking this one, and for a cheap weekend getaway this one was good, nothing ‘flash’ but at around half the price and in a great location, it suited our needs.
The Mercure is next door, with private parking at the rear. The Ibis Styles is about a minutes walk away closer to the harbour, again with private parking. The other Ibis in Honfleur is further out on the main dual carriageway, probably a 10-minute walk away.
The Ibis is a good budget option in a good location....for a short break why pay more?

Room Tip: Our room 315 slept 3, so a good size if just the two of you. Tended to be a little road noise...
