“Quintessential French breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

Wonderful surroundings and lovely food off the beaten track. The breakfast couldn't have been better, croissants, bread and strong coffee executed to perfection.

“Good value good fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

Great for snacks and light meals but very much a cafe as opposed to a restaurant. Breakfast is good value at & euros. The patron is a one off and gives added entertainment value

“Great little cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

We were staying at Hotel Monet just a couple of minutes walk up the hill and visited this delightful little cafe for breakfast on 2 mornings. We sat outside on both occasions on the pavement, one in sun and one in rain under the awning. The owner is a fun character and in spite of not speaking English and my limited French he managed to produce a gluten and dairy free breakfast without a grumble, but with a good natured respectful laugh. The lunch menu looked good and well priced. The coffee was very good and produced strong or weak as liked. It is a friendly spot and good to meet fellow travellers. It is about a 6+ minute walk up from the harbour. Thoroughly recommended.

“Lovely little cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

Had a very pleasant simple lunch here last week. I had a goats cheese salad and my husband had a delicious homemade quiche - all washed down with a carafe of rosé! The menu was small but written on a chalkboard and certainly got the impression it changed frequently.
As noted by a previous reviewer it is slightly off the beaten track but very nice and very peaceful. Service was friendly - think it is a husband and wife team. And was good value for money.
It is quite small - 4 or 5 tables plus a couple outside.

“Great for Breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

This cafe is a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the harbour - up the Rue du Puits which starts above St Catherine's Church to the left of the Hotel Les Maisons de Lea. Follow the winding medieval road about 5 minutes walk to a charming little square with the cafe on the right.
We visited on a rainy monday morning for breakfast and had a very warm welcome. As well as the usual coffee, bread and croissants the breakfast included great cheese and a choice of home made apple tarts and a fantastic lemon meringue tart (worth the visit just for this). Good value for money.
The brunch also looked really good. Owner/waiter was very friendly, slightly eccentric and very helpful. Place is definitely family friendly.
We wanted to go back for breakfast the next day, but it is closed on Tuesday.
