“Nice family bistro”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

Relaxed, friendly and good for our two small children. Had a pleasant meal ( I had skate in a cream sauce (do wish the French would skip their cream addiction and go for a fresher approach to fish - but this is cultural rather than a fault of this restaurant)) 5y/o had moules & Frites and loved them, the 1 y/o shared my skate and that went down well. Hubby had steak which was at a standard good quality. Wine was good.
Solid value for money. Good service. Recommended over some of the more pretentious restaurants in Honfleur. Honestly run family restaurant.

“Relaxed bistro with good food”

This was a great place to sit outside on a hot night and have a family meal for 6. Good food, not too expensive, nice relaxed atmosphere Ian charming square slightly off the main port area.

“Great value and "entertaining" efficient staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

We ate here in an evening during the very warm weather of mid July. It was a busy, buzzing place with lots of customers (I would recommend booking for an evening table because they were turning people away), but despite the fact that there were just two waiters, everything seemed to run like clockwork. Our three course meals were really good value and could not be faulted. The waiters zoomed around, entertaining people with little jokes and polite banter at each visit to a table, but they gave us enough time between courses so that we didn’t feel rushed, and the whole experience was a real delight. The moules were terrific! This is a good choice restaurant out of the many in the town and it’s in the church square which is a great central location and where you can experience the delightful bell tower chiming!

“A good reason to live in France”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

Excellent Food and first class service that all four of us agree was rated as one of the best meals we have had in our lives. Honfleur is full of restaurants but previous Trip Advisor remarks persuaded us to choose the Le Bouchon that we can confirm matches its reputation as probably the best in town.
