The best attribute of the Mercure Honfleur is that it is conveniently located, 5 minute walk to the old harbor and its charming alleys and side streets. Fair to say the hotel itself is without any charm, spartan, although clean. The rooms are small, the king size bed was on the firm side, but comfortable; drawbacks: no drawers or storage space other than shelves on the closet (an a small open space bare able to squeeze a few hangers in); no real seating. Lack of a restaurant not an issue as Honfleur overflowed with meal options.

Room Tip: We faced back parking lot which though quieter, had a bright shining light which one could block onl...

Nice hotel, front upper rooms with view of bridge. Able to open the windows and enjoy the air and the view (and the flowers in the window box!) Good secure parking at rear, daily charge, but worth it as close to the harbor. Request a parking spot in advance, especially in high season. Bed was a little uncomfortable but room and bathroom were pleasant. Good buffet breakfast, and pleasant reception staff. In high season probably busy (& noisy) with coach parking across the street, but very low key in September mid-week. Easy to walk to harbor and surrounding streets. Rooms have free wifi but as we were on the top floor, the furthest from reception, we had to go to the lobby as there was no signal. Presume other rooms were ok. All in all, an enjoyable stay.

Generally a good hotel - clean room - good breakfast - a bit busy with coach part when we visited - but good value and easy walking distance to the harbour. No restaurant but there must be 80 to 100 within a quarter of a mile (some by the harbour are expensive, others a street or two back offer better value.

Room Tip: It is quieter at the rear overlookng the car park

Honfleur is a really pretty town and this hotel is ideally situated if you wish to get to and fro without too much of a walk. The hotel itself is pretty formulaic and typical of the chain. Very clean and efficiently run although I would say that the Bar/Breakfast area is less appealing than some of the other hotels in the chain. The car park at the back of the hotel looks very secure (Gated and CCTV everywhere) and cost us E10 for a night's stay. It's popular so book in early to avoid disappointment! We didn't take breakfast at the hotel as the attractions of egg & bacon in the sun overlooking the Harbour were just too overwhelming. Wifi was excellent. Overall, a great berth for a 1/2 nighter.
