We chose the menu and we were not disappointed by the quality and quantity of food. This was délécieuse, really happy to discover this restaurant with excellent service. We recommend it and stay here again for our next visit.

Stumbled across this place (Endroit is the French for Place).

Excellent starters and main courses. The kitchen really knows what its doing in this department. Succulent quail on a bed of foie gras followed by outstanding Coquille st Jacques. Cod in Coconut was declared a winner by two companions.

Not so the dry Apple pie. Also disappointing we're the three Normandy cheese selection which could have had more time to mature.

If you stick to the fish you will have an excellent meal.

Many Honfluer restaurants have a touristy feel, but not L'Endroit. The staff is young and accommodating. Our waitress was charming and patiently interpreted the menu for us, who are French challenged. Recommend the Curry Pork dish; you can cut the meat with a fork and the sauce and veggies in this stew like dish are fantastic. My wife had excellent fresh Scallops. Medoc Bordeaux was perfect compliment. Only regret was the apple pie with cream which might have been French style, but we would have preferred some sugar in the recipe.

We booked a table for this restaurant but needn't have bothered as we were the only diners when we arrived; after about 45 minutes one other table was occupied. It's a shame that they can't get more people through the door as we liked the food and the layout of the restaurant, which was different and a bit quirky. The lady that served us was friendly and attentive. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the wine was expensive as this was the most expensive list we saw for run of the mill wines.

We also spent New Year's Eve at L'Endroit and cannot agree more with Richard P! I dont know what has happened here but our experience does not reflect any of the other excellent reviews that led us here in the first place, I know the restaurant was shut for "refurbishment" during November but was assured the management and kitchen were staying the same - possibly not?

For €80 a head we expected a bit more than we were offered - poor canapes and a tiny glass of champagne, fois gras plonked on a plate with some jam, tasteless smoked salmon, uneatable lamb or overcooked scallops, two tiny bits of cheese and a few dry cakes for dessert! It could have been a great menu if it had been served with any sort of style or panache - it seemed like a packet grab from a supermarket all plonked onto plates! The cheapest wine was over €40 a bottle!!

The service was patchy and the restaurant too crowded - we had a table usually used in the bar and we could not get our legs under it so had to sit sideways! The chairs were very comfy!
The atmosphere was dire - I dont think others were enjoying the experience much more than we were - so we ate up what we could and went back to our hotel to celebrate there with the champagne from the minibar - 1/4 of the price of a bottle at L'Enroit.
